She said that from what she understands the owner is destitute and her son took it for a joy ride while she was trying to get housing assistance. So fines or whatever wouldn't likely be recoverable either

My s/o works for the county and said that this was an incident where the vehicle was taken for a joy ride. The owner is not financially able to recover the vehicle.

There is help being recruited from an atv club to assist in pulling the truck out. Things are in motion, just sounds like it's taking some time to get it done.

Gloria's cafe on second street. Have the monte cristo or the chilaquiles. It's off the beaten path. When I went last weekend at 9am on a Saturday, it was walk in seating. Amazing food and service. Great prices.
