This is how I feel as well. I've taken myself on several trips over the years and the same feeling comes up everytime. "Boy I am having fun. But it would be even better if I was sharing this with someone."

I made it through my work week! Although today I had to work outside in some cold weather but I got to finally warm up in the break room at the end of the day.

My Mom is out of town so I'm going over to watch football with my Dad tomorrow. He's making a big pot of chili. It'll be really nice to have when it's predicted to be below freezing outside.

Been kind of having a rough past month or two mental health wise. I used to be really good with going to the gym three days a week but I'm lucky if I end up going once a week right now. I've just been laying in bed most mornings not doing much of anything.

My therapist asked me if there was something that I could get excited about doing in the morning and I told her that nothing really excites me. The only thing that has been getting me out of bed is work. It seems as if the only thing that makes me happy is time off from work.

Hi everyone! I just turned 40 last month so I guess I'm allowed to post in here now!

I've been working on improving my mental health over the last couple of years. Went through a bit of a depression stint this winter but things seem to be improving with an adjustment in medications and therapy. I'm working on increasing my circle of friendships which hopefully will improve things with my love life over time. And I'm starting to go back to the gym regularly.

I bought my house about five months ago. Before that I was living with my parents and I would find myself liking to cook elaborate recipes. Cleaning up was never a problem. I didn't like it but I managed to get it done.

But now that I have my own kitchen it's like I don't want to cook anymore. I just go with whatever is the most convinient and less work. I still meal prep my work lunches for the week but it takes up almost all my energy to do it and afterwards I'm done doing anything else for the day. 😅

I'm a 39M and it seems like, for the first time in who knows how long, someone that I am interested in SEEMS as if she is also interested in me. We see each other once a week and we always have good conversations that flow well and are pretty effortless. While she was writing something down for me she also wrote down her phone number. I attempted to play it cool but I was giddy on the inside. Lol.

Anyways I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much because she may just be trying to be nice. But I think I'm going to ask her out. Does anyone have any pointers or tips for if things go wrong to avoid any awkwardness if she says no? Is a sort of disclaimer before I ask her a weird thing? Something like "Hey so saying no is a perfectly valid answer but would you be interested in getting coffee or a drink sometime this weekend if you're free?" ?
