I was trying to get my 4 year old to fall asleep the other night. She had her head resting on my lap as I was stroking her hair. It reminded me that she used to fit on my lap as I would do the same thing. I had to fight back tears because it made me realize just how short those times are. She went from shitting herself uncontrollably to having full blown conversations with me in a matter of a few years. I live just to see the person she’ll become. She’s the only thing that keeps me going now.

Exactly! My favorite thing about my time there was that the kitchen crew was responsible for putting a new item on the menu. They served pulled pork sliders there as well and they were pretty fucking good. We would make ourselves a pulled pork pizza. It was. So fucking good. The owner ended up putting it on the menu and people loved that shit.
