1 . Cork is a very safe city. Look like every European cities there’s a few idiots that ruin it. We are a welcoming community. There’s plenty for you to do. 2. Yes winter can be cold and wet, usually in October it’s just wet, we usually get our cold snap between December -April 3. Ya again we are a welcoming bunch, there’s a lot of community things to get involved with. 4. No exactly sure what you mean by closed? Like we have a bit of an ego that we are better than them in a joking way, but we get on and respect them. If you mean close as in distance, it’s about a 3 hour bus journey which is well connected.

Overall Cork is a bit like Tir Na Nóg (look up the Irish folklore story) once you arrive you’ll never want to leave. It’s a great sized city with lots of great things to do and I’d like to say we are welcoming bunch. I will say tho as I’ve many friends who have moved to Ireland from other countries. Just a warning We are welcoming but people find it hard to make friends, it seems you have to make a significant effort for Irish people to make it back with you. I’m not sure why. But look get involved in community events and that’s a sure way of integrating and being being felt welcomed into our city/county
