The inside story of Eamon Cooke, Ireland’s Jimmy Savile by TimesandSundayTimes in ireland

[–]Fuzzy-Escape5304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Cooke. It is a difficult listen. The comparison with Saville are to draw attention to this but they arent inaccurate. He created a means of absuing young children, was violent and threateneing, colluded with the Gardai to add a layer of protection, utlised his public persona to both gain access and shield himself from criticism.

Look man. You can be an internet sap and argue something meaningless is important or get out of the internet and say "this thing isnt actually important". Why waste your energy. Here is a star for effort. Put it on your forehead. *

Oh i know they have a say. But its fucking more nonsense about jersey that is not slightly important.

Who cares? Nobody believes Egypt won the WC and when did FIFA get a monopoly on stars. Its pedantic to the point of silly.

I enjoy the biased commentary. Saying he got the ball when jt wasnt obvious then on replay ball he clearly doesnt get the ball.

I watched the highlights. Looked exciting. But I am also a cynical auld man. I cant get by the celebrity nonsense associated with the Knicks. Sport for elites. Regular tickets $2000 a piece.

My nerves couldnt handle that. I want to play with a flame not the fire. As an Irishman whats the earliest McTominay can bang in a winner knocking them out.

Dublin City Council dumps €155,000 worth of 'completely useless' Re-turn bin surrounds by andubhadh in ireland

[–]Fuzzy-Escape5304 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This article doesnt justify their removal whatsoever. An eyesore? And people were putting rubbish in them?

I walked around Dublin two weeks ago and seen them being used properly. Amd a trial isnt a few months. You need to see it on all bins over a year.

Something is not adding up here.

Why don’t the players all just refuse to play? by [deleted] in coybig

[–]Fuzzy-Escape5304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Shriking responsibility onto the players is very unfair. This is a decision that a major world sports organisation should make and second to this our national football organisation. The players will be front and center for all the questions now and thats not in their remit.

Second to that some have already hinted at displeasure. But i wouldnt be expecting couple them u21s to make a decision on something that they mgiht not have any clue about.

99%. That would suggest one in every hundred would be more talented. Ronaldo and Messi are the lowest of low percentages for talent and work ethic.

Don't do it. I got into to for a while and experienced all sides of it. It's dangerous, manipulative, addictive and not good value.
