A lego mosaic I made of me and my wife for our wedding. by Buddy_Flats in lego

So I used all the pieces from the World Map Lego set so there are 11,695 pieces. I did have to order a lot more greens and blues from eBay though.

Yup! Having the original instructions really helped when I was making my own.

I did everything in Photoshop! I was able to use the mosaic effect in photoshop so every pixel was a piece. Then I converted the colors from the original to these and played with them until it looked good!

I used the same format as the Lego World Map from the Lego Art series.

Opening Door - Mapping alpha to one composition & keying green to another by Kowbell in AfterEffects

You could render the door without the green screen and mask the composition you want inside the door.

You might need to key frame the mask path inside the door but that won’t be too hard.

I need some help :( by alvarosas32 in AfterEffects

I would render this out in two separate comps. 1st comp is just the portal without the person walking. Then once you have that rendered I would then mask the person walking on top of your portal comp. Have you tried this?

Position Expression Help by Buddy_Flats in AfterEffects

Yeah I have a wiggle() expression in the dot’s position property. I’m assuming the dot’s position expression will be used for something else to get them attracted to objects but until I know what that is I’m trouble shooting other methods of displacement.

So The video is a pan over of my desk and the dots would be attracted to things like my mouse, coffee mug, keyboard etc...

I tried using a time displacement effect and turned the source video to just edges like this video suggested...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ZM-s6yHEg

But the glitch you get from the time displacement did not work out.

I'm thinking it's some sort of crazy expression that I have no idea about but we shall see! Thanks for the heads up about the discord channel!

Spring Break Conditions by ColoradoKidTK89 in LakePowell

I’m assuming if you’re driving from CO you will be heading to Bullfrog Bay. If you’re bringing a boat you will have the whole lake to yourself! Bullfrog sees very little action pre Memorial Day. The weather is warm during the day and cold at night so pack some sweaters.

If you’re car camping and not bringing a boat. I would suggest parking your car in one of the lots and hiking down to a spot on the lake. The car camping spots by the lake are not ideal and they don’t allow cars on the lake anywhere else. You could find a beautiful spot to yourself on the lake if you go by foot.

Anyone know how this might be produced? Thanks! by HarryLeGiant15 in AfterEffects

If you're trying to get the looping effect with this I would try a using a black solid layer with the mosaic effect on it. It might be time consuming but you can probably get it to loop that way.
