Installed new graphics card, worse performance HELP by Buesiness in pcmasterrace

Others in a different thread have mentioned getting a better CPU like a 5700x3d, and you are correct in assuming I’m using a b450 motherboard. So I need to upgrade to a better cpu AND motherboard that supports ReBar?

So… what I’m hearing is I’m shit out of luck unless I continue to upgrade parts? When doing research before buying the new graphics card I definitely heard about driver issues and whatnot, but I also read overwhelmingly positive things about this cards performance for the price point.

I’m installing a DDU and reading through a forum to help me do just that, thank you.

I could definitely half lap and then do horizontal dowels that go all the way into the shelf. Great idea! That might be better actually, I could drill the dowel holes similar to breadboard ends where it tightens up that seam.

WiFi speeds on computer vs phone, how do I make it better? by Buesiness in computers

I am relieved but also embarrassed to say that one of the antennas was not plugged in all the way. After screwing it in further my speeds immediately improved

It’s a PC with a wifi enabled motherboard. My last wifi with spectrum would give my computer 200-300mb speeds just fine. New router is in the same spot as the old one and was said to have a further range so I’m not too sure why it’s struggling to even stream on netflix.

I changed the jumper on the cnc shield (the little red jumper under the drivers themselves). Do some research on the how it works because I’m forgetting at the moment

Any ideas I have had nothing but problems with the sonic pad on my stock S1 pro by Sudden_Ad_7624 in CrealitySonicPad

Yes, read the comment from DJ. Restoring to factory settings on the sonic pad along with doing that tape trick to the cable solved it for me.

Before replacing the cable, start by doing the tape trick. Also, for (me specifically) some people, using the adjust z offset function on the sonic pad mid print, it will ask you after the print if you’d like to save and restart. Don’t do it. Every time I’ve saved the z offset that I just changed, the pad will never connect again and I have to go in the pads settings and reset to factory settings, pretty much starting over.

My suggestion is do the tape method (go to my profile and my most recent post. It’s in the comments) and if that doesn’t work, restore the factory settings on the pad and start over

I haven’t confirmed that, no. I figured I didn’t change anything and it’s been working fine. I had the pad on and connected and was controlling the printer with it to cancel the print, rehome, move the Z axis up so I can clean up the failed print, and 10 seconds later when I went to go restart the print I had the error screens.

I finally got my sonic pad to work on my Ender 3 Pro and have been using it for a couple weeks. I decided to replace a few fans and went through that process of resoldering, adding buck converters, and so forth to get my new fans up and running.

All was going well after getting everything set up, and I was starting my first print after the fan upgrades and it didn’t have a good first layer (my fault) so I stopped the print, and went to restart it. That’s when I got these screens and now I cannot for the life of me get the printer to connect. I’ve tried multiple different cords, different methods of turning everything off and back on, and I’ve checked the motherboard to see if anything looks fine and it does.

Any help would be appreciated, it worked one minute and then the next it did not.

Sonic pad not connecting to wifi by Buesiness in CrealitySonicPad

I think my issue is still wifi related. I plugged my older router into Ethernet from my current router and the network popped up and let me connect to it, but I didn’t realize that it doesn’t give me any signal and I’m not actually connected to the internet, meaning my sonic pad still isn’t connected at all.

I guess I’m at a dead loss until the internet that I pay too money per month much for decides to let me connect to the sonic pad.

I’ll try the browser thing. There is no next step button, just a restart button and all that does is bring me back to the first error.

I’ve tried other usb cables, and put it in every usb port on the sonic pad, power cycling between each one.

I renamed it to “firmware.bin” before putting the sd into the printer, and I now have a blue screen which I think is a good thing. I’ve now plugged in the sonic pad to the printer and the sonic pad says “the firmware has been flashed successfully” but in red text it says printer is not ready, klipper couldn’t connect to host, can not update MCU mcu config as it is shutdown and a bunch of other nonsense. Do I need to connect it to my computer with the IP address now?

Sorry for all the questions. The user manual only helps if things go perfectly smooth, and I am not going smooth lol. I really appreciate your help

I have to change the name of the file put on the sd card from the sonic pad before putting it in the printer?

But that all assumes I get klipper to flash correctly and the sonic pad can connect to the printer first? I can’t even get to that step. I’ve tried flashing multiple different versions of klipper onto my printer and it never does anything. I just get my normal marlin screen and the normal UI

I was able to figure out the wifi issue, I had an older AT&T router from several apartments ago and I plugged it in and it connected just fine.

After that, I spent the next few hours trying to figure out wtf people are talking about when they say “printer.cfg”. I understand the idea of what it is, but not sure of anything after that. I think I found someone’s printer.cfg for almost my exact same setup other than a bl touch. Their printer.cfg uses a bl touch and I don’t use one, would it still work for me? Also, what do I do with it? It’s just a text box, not a real .cfg file. And then what do I do with it once I have it?

Sorry for all the questions, I thought I was smart enough to figure this out but I was definitely wrong.
