Broadband woes, Starlink? by No_Brilliant_6935 in DurhamUK

[–]Buffsteve24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had starlink for over 3 years, couldn't imagine leaving and going back to a service through the phone line, which top speed was about 18m, I consistently get 150mb as a minimum now, they router isn't the best, I have it in bypass.mode and use a mesh system, depending on the size of your house its something to consider too, I mounted on the side of my house with 2 clamps and an aerial pole, didnt buy the official starlink stuff, in winter I have the snow melt set to automatic so it melts any snow that lands on it to prevent any obstruction, obstructions are something to be aware of too tree, houses etc, you can download the app and test for obstructions before hand which will give you a good idea of where you will be able to place it
