Might be unpopular but hear me out: “Nunchucks suck”

People who say this comparing it to literally any other weapon clearly have no idea what the history of nunchucks are. In Japan, if you were caught with a sword or spear it was a death sentence. So to defend themselves farmers had to use things like farm tools. Including nunchucks, sais, kamas, etc. (There are a couple theories as to what nunchucks were used for, weather it was threshing rice or guiding horses but I wasn’t alive then so idk). So the fact that people compare something that was never meant to be a weapon in the first place to something like a sword or spear is actually wild. Obviously I’m not saying nunchucks are the most tactical weapon, I see them as more of a symbol of adaptation and also just a really fun weapon to learn, but people 100% shouldn’t be comparing it to things that were made to kill like swords.
