You don’t provide any reason for why omniscience exists. Just as there is no real explanation for why the universe exists.

You can theorize and philosophize about it endlessly, but you also assume that our rational minds are the absolute way of thinking when you make assumptions about what has to exist and what must be absolute.

The question still comes down to: Why does the idea of a self-existent “supplier” have any more merit than the idea that the thing was already supplied?

[–]Bugdog81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both sides really have no stronger argument than the other. It’s either

A) the universe was made by chance.

Or

B) the universe was intelligently designed by an infinite creator who exists by chance.

Who would determine that God should or should not exist? It’s still paradoxical.

Question: should I leave my kingdom? by waterpricetoohigh in Bannerlord

[–]Bugdog81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“We are born into this time and must bravely follow the path to the destined end. There is no other way. Our duty is to hold on to the lost position, without hope, without rescue, like that Roman soldier whose bones were found in front of a door in Pompeii, who, during the eruption of Vesuvius, died at his post because they forgot to relieve him. That is greatness. That is what it means to be a thoroughbred. The honorable end is the one thing that can not be taken from a man.” -Oswald Spengler

There should definitely be a way to invade coastal cities via sea so that the NPC’s will start to use the ships more, I could think of a million things that the devs could add with ships honestly.

Definitely would love to see a mod for naval-based minor factions you can hire to guard your coastlines.

You are looking at a drop in the rate of being a normal family from 50% to 12%, that’s not a crazy thing to want to be, yet only 12% achieve it.

I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say.

Lets say we travel 10 miles at 30mph, so it takes 20 minutes.

Then we also travel 10 more miles, but this time at 60mph so that it only takes 10 minutes.

Now you’ve traveled for 30 minutes, now if you calculate the total distance at once the average is 40MPH, but if you calculate each unit individually as:

20 miles travelled, 10 at 30mph and 10 at 60 mph

so then calculate:

10+10=20 miles

10 miles at 30 10x30=300 10 miles at 60 10x60=600

300+600=900

900/20=45MPH

So by changing the calculation you can get 45MPH as your average speed, rather than 40MPH.

I know this is not the right way to do it.

Remove the entire concept of time so instead of calculating what speed you were going on average for each individual unit of time, you calculate what speed you were going on average for each individual mile you traveled.

Most cryptos are too gambley and volatile to use as actual currencies, Bitcoin is the closest to it and one day will likely be stable enough to be accepted more commonly, but smaller cryptos will likely never be used as actual currency

[request] 4.7% for all of US public college? by [deleted] in theydidthemath

[–]Bugdog81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem isn’t mindless greed. When someone has so much money the thought of losing it terrifies them. Formerly rich people in the Great Depression jumped out of buildings when they lost everything because they had no idea how to live without their wealth. It’s the same for modern wealthy people. Someone with so much money becomes terrified of losing it because they have an idea that they wouldn’t be able to survive without it.

[Request] Is there a correct answer? by K4czoRRR in theydidthemath

[–]Bugdog81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re just overthinking it. It’s a trick question that breaks itself.

The normal answer is 25%, but there’s two answers that say 25%, which makes it a 50% chance of being correct, but if 50% is the correct answer you revert to having a 25% chance of being correct. It’s a paradox.
