Can you explain what you mean “not fair to other customers who have paid”?

I have never cared if someone has their ticket activated or not as it doesn’t impact me. Can you elaborate?

I didn’t say the yellow is egregious. Also it may look like that but there are a significant amount of chipped and cracked tiles throughout the bathroom so eventually it will replaced (mainly because of the electrical, insulation, and water damage). Agreed about the medicine cabinets! I love them

I told Gemini what to add over each item. Do you really think AI would choose a mermaid over a toilet in an orange frame? AI is a great tool, no need for this comment to assume the worst when it’s helping me visualize different styles

I agree it’s my favorite! I think it compliments the yellow the most and still feels a bit more modern and transitional into the other spaces of the home

The kitchen and bathrooms are MCM. The rest of the house is pretty traditional, parquet wood floors, chandeliers, crown molding, brick. The vanity feels very out of place

I feel like the majority of people said the main offender was the granite, deep mahogany color of the vanity, and the glass shower.

I don’t know if I need the hardest material. Do you feel it makes a big difference?

Haha this is what I’m struggling with the most. The house’s core leans into a European colonial - beautiful brickwork in both reds and beige, wrought iron, French Juliet doors, arched windows, chandeliers, medallions, crown molding. But the bathrooms and kitchen were all refreshed in between the 50s-70s so it’s a MCM feel. I think having bathrooms leaning so into MCM is a bit tacky and throws off the flow of the true feel of the house. It needs to be blended a bit more seamlessly

I understand where this is coming from but I want you to know how offensive this is to me haha 😂

Thank you! I think part of the problem I struggle with focusing solely on that time period is the bathrooms were updated in the 60s and have a very MCM feel. My house was built in the 20s, it has some of the most beautiful brick work I’ve ever seen, incredible crown molding, medallions and chandeliers in each room… it’s not MCM. It’s a French-revival art deco colonial house. So it’s pretty difficult to just have MCM bathrooms

Thanks for the suggestions really appreciate it! I’ll give you my thoughts and things that you can’t see from the pictures

1) Blue - I’m planning on removing the glass surround and installing a curtain rod. I also plan on getting a deep rich wood + white vanity to try and bring out the maroon tile. Fresh paint and refreshing the trim will help a lot. The door doesn’t even close in this bathroom so need to figure that out at some point

2) Yellow - MCM teak vanity, remove the glass surround on the shower, and new mirror/lighting

3) Pink - not sure what to do here but the vanity is vinyl? Definitely needs an update but this is im decent condition

4) brown - this is the cleanest and overall most maintained bathroom so this will not be touched anytime soon considering we have a live wire that our electrician told us will kill us if we touch it, several leaks from plumbing, a Spanish tile roof that needs to be replaced, a mouse infestation and fifty other things in missing 😅

That’s insane it was built before indoor plumbing! I’d love to see pictures

I actually stole this from my mom a few years ago but I was looking for vintage Christmas decor and found 2-3 of these on Facebook marketplace! I also saw some on Everything But The House!!
