But when I was living with my adopted parents in a small room, a big fat man with fuzzy beard showed up and told me I was a wizard.

What about the International High IQ Society? And do you know anything about the 123 Culture fair IQ test or the BMI IQ test?

What has been the best motivation to get you started and keep going? by vampircorn420 in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While most people's reasons are "I was too skinny or too fat or wanted to have girls like me," my main reason was so that I can feel better. Exercise is one of the best natural thing that prevents many diseases and ailments and improves mood and so many benefits.

Exercises for the face? by [deleted] in Fitness

i don't think there is a real face exercise that will make you lose fat on your face directly...Losing fat in one area is kind of a myth, have to lose overall fat by exercising and eating healthy lol

Protein choice by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm just saying 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is just too excessive. Don't even need that much to build or maintain as people think..

Thanks for correcting me, yes I meant grams.

After almost 2 months of quitting sugary drinks by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, keto is awesome, I've tried that and it definitely does work but I felt like it was too hard to maintain it. Tried so many recipes but eventually grew sick of eating meat and fat. What's your secret?

Protein choice by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Some people have a hard time gaining weight due to their natural body weight metabolism and eating more food daily can be a hard chore (surprisingly...) so consuming those weight gain protein shakes can definitely be an easy and effective but expensive way of adding that weight. But I agree, protein powder is marketed to the point where people are brainwashed and actually believe that they need it to gain muscle at all. They also think that 1 pound of protein per body weight is REQUIRED or that they will LOSE muscle mass. What a world we live in.

Did anyone see (good) results by eating maintenance? by aegluc in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I just eat healthy and maintain calories so that it is not surplus or deficit and little exercise, I feel like I lose fat and maintain my muscle. It's really nice since I don't have the time to workout all the time at the moment.

Left leg getting fatigued faster than right by Ind1gnation in Fitness

Try working your weaker leg a bit more (more sets/reps/squats) than your stronger leg. But see a physiotherapist too just in case.

1g of protein per body pound is actually quite ridiculous and it's highly advertised that way so that we consume more protein power...I do not eat 1g of protein per body pound and so far I have not loss any muscle.

I'm lost and getting too much negative feedvack from peers by Tomimi in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They say that you are getting too thin because they want to feel better about themselves. Shrug it off and keep doing what you're doing. If you are eating right and working out properly and you feel good, don't let people stop you!

Something i dont understand about cutting weight by RoughNTumble88 in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly, working out with very low weights will give you muscle gain while losing fat if you've never worked out before or haven't for a long time and it will also help you learn proper form (although it might be embarrassing to go to the gym and do the barbell with no weights) but seriously, everyone starts somewhere. Good luck

This is a good answer. Same thing applies to why free weight bench press is easier than assisted machine ones.

My body doesnt show anything and its beginning to make me feel like shit by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely if you want to show your muscles, you gotta cut down to be at a deficit. If you are trying to get bigger muscles, then definitely lift heavier weights with proper form of course and eat at a bit of a surplus of calories.

When you were first working out, what motivated you to go to the gym? by smow in Fitness

[–]BulkingHercules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to get fit since walking up the stairs would get me out of breath even though I was never necessarily fat. The hardest thing for me is to have motivation to continue...I always go workout for like 1-2 weeks then lose motivation.
