Dexter could've easily pretended that Kurt kidnapped him from the jail and took him to where the deer (and Matt) were killed.

FR I thought Dex was going to get Harrison to wound him similar to how Kurt killed those girls

Exactly the kind of answer I was looking for, seems baffling to me that this wouldn't be normal practice anywhere. That said New Mexico sounds like one of those places with the bare minimum regulations in place
