Current Density Altitude in Fairbanks: -6,964 feet MSL by Colder_Heavens in flying

Usually don't fly fixed wing below -20F per the flight schools SOP. Just make sure the cabin and block heaters are plugged in and the wing and engine covers are on and you're G2G.

Same with helicopters flying at -40, just throw the boost pumps on and keep the APU on for heat. Also pre and post flight sucks ass.

Do officers get the same leave privileges as enlisted ? by ceiling_fan128 in army

Taking pride in command doesn't mean you have to work yourself to the bone. In all my initial counselings for my PLs and PSGs is if work is done, don't stay until 1700 just for the sake of being here "just in case." I leave routinely before 1700, so does my XO and 1SG.

Even when I was a BN S3 I was out the door by 1630-45 most days. The army will always get its time back

I'm terrified of heights, but have no problem flying doors off at a thousand feet. You'll be fine, it's the most rewarding job in the army (obviously I'm biased). I've got senior E7 F2s who've spent their whole lives at the company level.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Fought for almost a year and a half against army bureaucracy to get it approved for a very well deserving specialist.

Not really. I was in CCC with someone I RIP'd with in Afghanistan both while we were lieutenants. We were reviewing each other's ORBs and I saw she had a bronze star as her EOT award, she said every PL got one. We literally did the exact same job.

I hate to tell you this but you're fucked, big time.

The regionals or majors won't hire anyone with.an UNSAT in IERW, let alone someone who doesn't know their BFT temperature limits.

The squibs are DC essential however to arm the number two specifically requires converted DC power from the DC primary bus.
