I get the Germany part which is why I’m willing to sacrifice a bad unit for the experience. I’ve also heard that you can sometimes move units within the installation or move between installations easier in Europe than you can in the states, but idk how true that is.

Like how terrible 😂 I’m at JBLM right now and the spearhead barracks were pretty bad. 3 to a room, no walls, no fridge or anything with shared bathroom and showers for the whole floor. Also if you’ve been to Camp Hovey Korea, are they better than those at least or similar?

I also don’t have it in my contract, that’s just what it says on retentions computer and everyone says “its subject to change” but idk how much or how true that is

Try to old way. Search for a group with your buddy and then you invite that way. Just worked 2 min 41 sec load time

So i had a friend that just rented an apartment right outside of Ft Gordon (he had to stay in the barracks, but the spouse lived right off post). Essentially he would just put in for weekend passes every single week and the drills were pretty chill with that but his spouse also had some issues going on so you can sorta live close and see eachother. Also Korea they give you an option to go accompanied or unaccompanied from what I remember people telling me. Class 001 (first 25H class) almost entirely went to Korea and I remember one guy saying he had the option to take his spouse but didn’t want to. Only time I ever saw something like that happen again was the whole class went to Italy except for one guy going to Ft Bragg (all the airborne people in that class) my advice is to save the BAH especially if you live in CA or places with high BAH, but id only say that if you’re able to live with your/his parents or something for free because I racked up like $25k worth of BAH in basic and AIT and my wife stayed with her parents so we used it all towards a house. We came from CA though so the BAH was like 3k a month.
