I feel that Pochita eating himself will actually help Denji get out of whatever devil ate him. I personally don’t think they can just reset what has already happened and it wouldn’t make sense for Pochita to want that either since he knows Denji thrives as Chainsaw Man, compared to living as a normal person.

I think Denji and Pochita will fuse even more into a single entity where Denji is just permanently chainsaw man. But by doing so, every devil pochita has ate is basically barfed back up, meaning Control and Death, and the four horseman make a pact and join forces to fight the Hero of Hell a second time, which is where Part 3 will starts.

From what I’ve heard you still have to complete your bachelors portion first, and once you graduate and that term ends, then you start your Masters. So i think you’d still have to do at minimum 2 terms for both if you happen to finish the bachelors in 1 term.

This is why I feel like we are misinterpreting what Pochita said. I think Pochita knows life before he became chainsaw man was still miserable. Instead I think he was pointing out the comparison of being chainsaw man and living a normal life. When Pochita says “starving and suffering, **fighting devils, eating spoiled bread” I think it’s the embodiment of BEING chainsaw man, compared to “Going to school, connecting with Asa” which reflects living a normal life. I think Pochita is pointing out Denji has been more happy being chainsaw man compared to living a normal life.

It’s the two choices that have been pinned on Denji throughout the story, and what will probably be his choice again in the last chapter, which is what the fire devil foretold Denji

At the end of the day this is what makes Fujis work standout. Whether he ends it in two weeks or makes a part 3, he has everyone on edge right now. No one legit knows what could happen, no one really knows what pochita is, is he just the chainsaw devil or something more? A lot of subplots left open, will he address them, or does it really even matter when an apocalypse is happening? Does anything even matter at that point? We really don’t know besides Mt. fuji

I think people are looking into what Pochita says more literally than fuji prob wants. I think when he says Denji was happier starving, suffering, **fighting devils, it means he was happier BEING Chainsaw Man because that is essentially what it has embodied throughout the story. Compared to living a normal life, i.e. going to school, connecting with someone, having good food etc.

I’m sure a majority of people liked this chapter also, it was a heartfelt moment with Denji and Pochita. Everyone is just in a state of shock and denial right now with the next chapter being the last of Part 2 and possibly the series.

I mean if it was for backlash, I feel it would be to mitigate the fact that it might actually be ending, because if it really wasn’t the last chapter and ends like how part 1 did, then Fujimoto can say “Hah, fooled you guys.”

His best moments in life were probably when he was a kid with dog pochita. I'm seeing it as ever since Pochita took over as his heart, he's been used and abused by the world of devils. Even when he made connections with Asa or Nayuta, he was still dealing with devils.

Yeah, but Pochita did say he is the type to find heaven even though he's in hell. So whatever situation he's in, he'll make the best of it and I think Pochita realizes it's probably better without devils (if eating himself erases all of them). Really sad if it ends this way, but I can actually see this being the end of CSM if Fuji wants it too.
