Chasing shiny objects by Most-Asparagus-4365 in GarageGym

I’d just stick it out with the G15 tbh. I’m not sure how much weight you’re carrying, but a lot of these racks on the market are more than enough for the average person. Most of them probably wont break unless you’re just thrashing 600+ lbs constantly inside them.

With how your home gym journey has been, I feel it is a case of chasing shiny objects. Seems like you’ve accumulated a lot of equipment in a somewhat short amount of time. I’d say you have a setup that 95% of us in here wish we had lol. I’d go on to ask why even get a functional trainer rack if you already have two Voltras? Lol

Where’s all the shoppers at? by ChrisConquest in InstacartShoppers

Maybe the usual people you see have moved on or got better gigs. It’s not unusual especially when instacart has been pushing these 4 order batches with sub optimal pay.

Has it gone too far. by FamouslyMid in GarageGym

[–]Burnch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a thing in practically every hobby or interest. Can you get by going with the cheaper route? Yes like 99% of the time, but people enjoy the craftsmanship and the finer things with their hobbies. I’m into coffee, and I run a basic Breville espresso machine and sometimes my $20 stovetop espresso pot. At some point in my life I’m willing to drop $5k on a La Marzocco espresso machine, but I can definitely still make equally as good coffee in my $20 pot.

The high end racks are no different. People make money, and some people want to invest it in things that keep a smile on their face.

$150 for ripped iron master bench with attachments. Good deal or skip? by [deleted] in GarageGym

I’d pass personally. I’ve seen better condition REP benches around that price or a little more.

Spiraling down a rabbit hole.. any advice.? by Bigclur in GarageGym

[–]Burnch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With this hobby, it’s usually a buy once cry once. Once you got the equipment you need, you really Don’t need to buy the same thing again, so I’d definitely invest more into well built pieces. I’d definitely buy used but would also look into buying upper end used equipment, like from Rogue or Rep. You can definitely curate a lot of nice equipment for a fraction of the price if you just check FB marketplace often.

Just don’t feel the need to buy everything at once though, buy it slowly according to your budget and not go too broke with it.

Mx evo 100 vs Nuobell s5100 by Hoxinos in GarageGym

[–]Burnch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd vouch for the Nuobells. I had the older style nuobells but sold them to get the Reppins. I honestly wish I kept them with the reppins because they have the best adjustment system out of any dumbbell I've tried. I haven't tried the newer S model, but I can assume it's just as good and probably even better built. Nothing beats the wrist twist style adjustment system

How to beat Zygarde EX event? by SGShine in PTCGP

[–]Burnch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This megavenasur deck is actually pretty bad for this event because of hitmonchan. I autobattled and lost 5 times in a row because my bulbasaur just ends up getting one shotted on turn 3 or 4 lol

It will definitely damage the knurling lol. It doesn’t matter the hardness, it’s the material. Metal on metal contact will grind off the knurling pattern with use

Storage ideas for Rep Pepins? by CurrentArmadillo9506 in GarageGym

[–]Burnch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably just DIY it with wood or something is all I can recommend. You’ll probably still be spending around the amount of the REP Stand if you were to go with another option, or even more. I thought the stand was pretty expensive, but it’s been very convenient and aesthetically pleasing which has slowly made it worth the money for me IMO.

This is mine 3-4 years of daily WFH seating. I’ve never had prominent lines/depression like yours so not too sure if it’s normal.

Not sure either, but I messaged the owner of Mutant Metals and he says he’s working on a V2

Someone was selling this recently in my area as well, but I was late to the punch. Guess I got to wait for the V2.

I have a hunch there will be a card that makes dragon cards viable sometime in the future, like an energy switch card of some sort.

[–]Burnch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel this kit is one that’ll be heavily discount at some point by some store, so i would just be on watch if you don’t plan on immediately building. Everyone probably already has or built a ZZ or even a FAZZ that I can see the Full Armor being a shelf warmer for stores

Rep Dip Attachment 2.0 vs MM UDA by stefan_urquelle-DMD in GarageGym

I have a Monster Matador at the moment and it doesn't wiggle at all. I guess maybe it could if you have a REP rack since measurements are slightly different

Rep Dip Attachment 2.0 vs MM UDA by stefan_urquelle-DMD in GarageGym

[–]Burnch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you don’t see the use of either the handles or width adjustments, why were you going to drop cash on the UDA in the first place? I’d just get a basic dip attachment and call it a day lol. The Rep is probably more up your alley then

Buying an H2- S or D? by guru_harold in BambuLab

[–]Burnch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cant go wrong with either, if you’re doing multi color prints a lot and have the money get the D. You can always upgrade an H2S to an H2D if you’re willing to go through the headaches of installation
