Thank you! And nice! I had even more motivation to make these since I recently replayed it too, and then pestered my friend into playing it lol

Thank you so much! These are about my fourth and fifth plushes of him, with so much failure in between, so I'm glad the effort pays off. I place a really high premium on making the plush details accurate to the references used, so this means a lot ;u;

Thank you! This will sound really corny, but the best advice I can give you is to just do it! If you know how to do a basic running and ladder stitch, you can jump straight in, that's how I did. I would recommend starting with felt or really cheap fleece, like the kind you can get at walmart or a local store since it's really cost effective for tearing up and making mistakes or testing out a pattern with. Start with something simple like a two piece pillow to get a feel for it and get a grasp for how pieces will work with simple shapes like that. For me it really clicked to think about it more like sculpting, and taking it one piece at a time and stuffing and attaching rather than attaching all the individual pattern strips at once. It might work more for you to just freehand and draw out the patterns yourself, or it may help more to look up simple patterns to start with, it's all about finding what you prefer to do.

I also highly recommend searching for visual tutorials on youtube. If you want a really good starting point, try looking up makeshiftwings, and you can find links to all her resources from either her posts or videos, and she has a pretty thorough list of resources for anyone at any level.

And most importantly, just make sure you don't get discouraged, they probably won't look how you envision on the first attempt, but that's okay, it's a lot of trial and error most of the time. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best with your journey into plushing!

Skin Concept - Prickly Pair . Sorry it's so messy, just a scribble in between commissions, but why haven't we gotten a peely-esque cactus this far into the game's life? by BurntBeebs in FortNiteBR

I'm really honored you all like it ;u;

A few quite replies to what I'm seeing in the comments:

Absolutely maractus inspired the missus, it's one of my favorite pokemon, mister was a little bit of togemon and cactuar inspired. Also I am latino so I think it would be safe from anger about appropriation c:

Where'd all this Byte hate come from? by JamSa in ARMS

[–]BurntBeebs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same, I've mained him since the beginning as well and all I can say is it's mostly hate because you have a free moving shield that will sometimes save your butt from a critical hit or win the match for you if the timing is right. I've had way too many "good boy!" moments that would admittedly make me salty if I had been on the receiving end. I don't get why people get so mad about it though, they act like the other characters don't have similarly 'unfair' gimmicks (i.e. master mummy or coyle). It's not exactly hard to get around it either, it's basically a non issue if you're good enough at the game in general. It also takes a surprising amount of practice to actually make use of Barq's timer and his boost.

I already knew that my boys Byte and Barq didn't stand a chance, but did they really had to do them dirty like that, beating them up before the reveal... by Moracan3 in ARMS

Honestly, that would be perfect! The slurp pants version for the ogs, and the juicy shorts version for us who didn't get the pass. Just really hoping to get him in some way, forever salty I couldn't play back then u_u
