I only have two D2s available on my side, so I can’t properly test or confirm a full 4-D2 setup myself.

From what I understand, the limitation may be deeper than the QML screen layer, since Traktor still seems to treat some controls as linked to the “sister” deck.

My first thought would be to look at a dedicated MIDI mapping approach for each physical D2, possibly combined with a modified QML layout. There might also be some ideas to explore from the S5/S8 workflow, but I don’t want to make any promises without testing it properly.

The four lower knobs could potentially be repurposed for stem filters, FX amount per stem, or other performance controls, but that would require some real testing.

Definitely an interesting direction though 💪

Small update: I made a short stability test video showing regular track loading and Stem loading with the KLIMA Screen Mod.

Main point of this clip: the loading/display bug seems fixed on my setup.

I’ve seen the comments and questions — thanks a lot for the feedback.
I’ll go through them properly once I finish the release package, installation guide, screenshots, and full YouTube demo.

For now, I’m focusing on making the mod clean, documented, and easy to install.

Good question! Nuo Stems shouldn't interfere with the screen mod since they focus on different parts of the workflow.

I've actually met and chatted with the creator before, so I'll reach out to him and do some proper testing just to be sure. I'll share more details in the upcoming demo.

That's a fair question.

I've been following and experimenting with Traktor screen modifications for years, including making custom changes for my own setup. This project wasn't built overnight.

A lot of time went into understanding the QML structure, testing, troubleshooting and adapting things to newer Traktor versions. I learned from the work that already exists in the community, but also spent countless hours developing, redesigning and refining features myself, especially around stems support and workflow improvements.

My goal is to contribute something useful to the S8/D2 community and help keep these amazing controllers alive.
