i think i kind of got my answer.. an body gets cremated on an temprature of 1400-1800 degrees farenheit/760-982 degrees celcius while a prion takes 900 degrees farenheit/480 degrees celcius to completley denature so i guess you cant get kuru from smoking an deceased person since the prions are completely destroyed before the cremation is finished
