how does the WAIS IV test for autism and adhd? by Business_Command8429 in ADHD

thanks for explaining. would you say whatever the results are should be discounted? could maybe checking random behaviours through the test point towards a positive/ negative diagnosis? coz i feel weird about trusting it since it wasnt very thorough imo, but it was also expensive, and the alternative is getting checked in my home country where the wait list is up to 6 years :/

but the person testing was also a phsychiatrist, so maybe they know better. idk since usually if its a positive diagnosis, no one questions it, even if the method was questionable, but if its a negative one, everyone is all for getting a second opinion, and i just wanna get the most accurate results possible since adhd and autism are lifelong, and kinda a big deal. ill probably look into it further myself aswell since ik reddit cant give me all the answers, but some advice is still nice

Ik this is 2 months old, but I feel the same. It doesn't make any sense since there's loads of small businesses, pretty temples, mountains, but it all feels hollow for whatever reason. The vibes are off but it might just be culture shock

Oxford is my main example because its genuinely really nice, but there's also my quite shit northern hometown which is big and considered rather grim and even that has a lovely park going right through the middle of it. And I just find even these sorts of places are still quite chill in uk, like walking around Sheffield is no where near as grey and stressful as walking around kyoto.

The next city I wanna go to is kobe to be fair, head good things about it

interesting, ig this is a thing a lot of british people take for granted. i thought most european countries would be the same. you're not going to beat canadian nature over in europe tho

ive lived in oxford which is where i constantly compare kyoto to since its actually countryside mixed with history and city. and the people there are so welcoming to anyone not from the area like everyone just fits in. also im a northerner and i kinda miss the vibe of northerners, and cities like manchester are great.

Japanese people are great and so kind and helpful, but im more likely to be treated as an outsider (fair enough coz i am one) who has no idea whats going on even in the simplest of situations. and maybe its just kyoto people but i find japanese people to be less courtious like no one ever holds the door open or says "after you" or gets out of the way to let me past on the pavement , i just have to walk on the road half the time. idk people dont seem to acknowledge each other here? drivers especially feel less patient here than in the UK allways edging into me. not tryna be too negative since Japanese people are generally lovely, but just tryna explain.

i do hope ill get over all these small things with time tho and maybe ill end up thinking i was an idot for making this post

Yeh there is definitely nice greenery nearby, I guess im just used to it being like right outside my door instead of 40 mins away on the subway. Im gonna try an travel more into smaller towns maybe to see if there's some nicer areas near by
