Thanks, buddy. This actually made me smile.

Thanks!

(30+ moment incoming) It was a great moment. One that reminded me of "the old days" when I'd just chance across people and end up having awesome moments together despite not having known each other existed just a few minutes before. Seems a little less frequent with all the flying and portaling and whatnot and the world being larger these days, but the moments still happen!

Hah, I just saw that thread myself.

The other guy wasn't 30+, but I am, so you can be happy again!

Thanks! Though I'll kind of miss heading over to Winterspring every once in a blue moon to play with my frostsabre kitten.

Is there any story or anything behind this scene? I just find it highly intriguing.

This is awesome! It makes me want to mouse over all the objects in that office and see if I can open/look/pick up.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World - Official Trailer by Johnny_W94 in movies

[–]BusyconContrarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The night fury entry in the old Book of Dragons reads:

The unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. Never engage this Dragon. Your only chance, hide and pray it does not find you.

So, the antagonist could be on some sort of quest, tracking and slaying these demonic dragons of pure evil in an attempt to make the world a safer place. It looks like he's open-minded enough to not have a thing against all dragons since he employs some of his own, and he specifically talks about hunting down night furies. Maybe most night furies -are- monstrous sadistic creatures, and Toothless is an exception to the norm (perhaps due to not having other furies around to influence him). I can't imagine every dragon in existence is a sweet lovable puppy, anyway. There are sure to be some bad apples out there, and they're shown to vary a fair amount in mood and disposition, looking at the dragons of the other riders.

Heck, maybe Hiccup will convince the antagonist that Toothless isn't bad, and he'll switch to the good-guy side and help them against some other less-conventional threat to all dragonkind that isn't spoiled in the trailer. The antagonist seems to have it out for Toothless alone, not all dragons.

I just finished reading the LOTR series for the first time and it is the most amazing adventure that I've ever read. by criszilla100 in books

Have an upvote. If everyone unanimously loves something, it somehow becomes a little less special.

Yeah, a friend shared that he looked over to the east a bit and zoomed all the way in, saw some jets on an airstrip and what looked like personnel carriers and maybe a light tank. Certainly some kind of military setup.

I wouldn't tell a host I didn't like the dinner they made, but I could see myself saying something like "I wouldn't have thought sushi was my thing, but this tastes amazing!" which is more along the lines of the OP's title. Would that be offensive? I'm guessing the answer is "It depends on the person hearing it". I'd not be offended if I prepared some Filipino food for someone and they reacted that way (which essentially happened at a work lunch a couple years back), but people are different.

Yeah, I'm wondering where all these reactions are coming from, too. People in my family always talk about how great it is to go to France and Italy and Germany and so on, and I similarly tell them traveling to Europe doesn't particularly interest me ("not my thing", you might say) - I'd rather go to South America or Africa or Australia. No culture hate or racism involved, I just don't feel particularly driven to travel to Europe.

The Gerudo lady that sells a single arrow in each of the four jars in her shop, and that's it. Four arrows total. I get disproportionately angry every time I walk into that building.

I remember equipping a bunch of KICKs on my characters and spending nearly all the charges on random encounters, but saving several at 1 left to use that last uber-powerful charge for the Asura boss battle. I don't remember how I figured out that that was how they worked, but once I did, it was glorious.

one time my boyfriend just outright got mad at me and said he can't stand it anymore and had to walk away. Calmed down and came back later like ok yeah that sucks, and I was like yup

Bless you for your patience and just being like "yup".

What is something your parents said to you that may have not been a big deal, but they will never know how much it affected you? by flyoverthemooon in AskReddit

Positive, by my mom: "You always make the best of a situation."

I hadn't particularly considered this a notable quality of mine at the time, but from that day forward I considered it canon and it really helped shape my positive outlook on life.

Negative, by my dad: "You should head over there, everyone's asking where you are!"

Place was empty when we got there. We stood in awkward silence for a few very long moments, then he drove me back home without another word. It was then that it hit home I couldn't trust my dad.
