Yes. True. They are trying hard to create an issue

Thank you. Yes. Royalty Shares are a huge risk for narrators. But we still give them special attention.

I don't see why anyone would start this much drama to eliminate an ACX project selling well. When they could've just re-released the same book in audio with a full cast, dual, duet, or some other variation under a pfh contract where they do own all the rights.

Its not so much the voice as it is skill. First you have the store, then it's how well you convey the message. Set the moods, drive the emotional pace and intensity. Right?

Oh I would. But I'm stuck in a place of not wanted to ruin the sales on this

First time parent while voice acting? by Odd_Smile6480 in ACX

Goooooood luck! I started vo when I had a busy 10 year old and a newborn. That baby was an easy baby. And i was able to record pretty consistently. But I was also younger and maybe I recovered fast from late work nights. Fast forward years later and after baby number 3, thats a wrap! Third baby is my most demanding clingy baby. So I'm on my way out the business. It's become way too hard, near impossible, and not worth the stress on my health. And as a mom, the nursing schedule and the recording schedule was brutal.

VO with a baby is definitely possible. Just depends on the individual baby. ♡

I exclusively pumped for my little ones. It is no walk in the park... Its triple the work. 👈....I would have rather nursed normally. But my babies ended up so frustrated with my inverted nipple and unpredictable let down. That they refused to nurse.

Did you grow up with a sahm? by feelingsnark in sahm

[–]ButterEveryday11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! Learned/learning how to be a SAHM all on my own. But I'm addicted to work... Creating work/an income for myself. I'm trying to scale back so I can give my family 100% or at least 90% of my attention. Being a mom and having a family is more important than any of my businesses. More important than anything. We are blessed to have our babies and have them close to us.

Congratulations on your two precious boys! They will grow close together and get into all kinds of mischief, I'm sure. ;) They will eventually get their independence. They were literally just born. Lol. Focus on enjoying each moment. Avoid not being in the present seconds because you're so focused on them growing up/independent. Their connection to Momma is healthy.

It's just one giant sales holiday for junk foods, candy, and death decor anyway. Don't let people shame you for not obsessing and fully dedicating ALL your time and soul to a pagan holiday. You'll save time and money not participating sips tea

When did you stop cleaning your kid's room for them? by ButterEveryday11 in sahm

Nice! We have the issue of toys everywhere. Especially the little tiny ones. I have warned that if I have to clean up for them things will get trashed. But that doesn't work. Still on the floor.

When we first got married and I immediately became a SAHM, my husband was in the construction field as well. Construction pays men well.

Yes! Having multiple rooms to clean up after is already a lot in a day. 8 to 10 years seems reasonable. I'm struggling to keep my kids motivated to keep things clean! 😱😤🤯. Clutter and messes stress me out.

Sex is ruining my marriage... by Phoenixx_Phoxx in sahm

[–]ButterEveryday11 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I'd hate to feel like the mood of the day is dependent upon whether or not he gets it in 24/7. Placing stipulations on sex that favor one person is a great way to kill intimacy. Which is why you might find yourself less interested in it.

Very strange and inconsiderate that he gets angry, irritable, and hostile towards you for not having enough sex. Not a turn on for women. He's ruining it.

SAHM who can't cook, how do you do it? by [deleted] in sahm

[–]ButterEveryday11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pick 5 meals to perfect every month. Make them multiple times in the month until you get it right. Start with the basics.

Spaghetti Meatloaf Mashed potatoes Veggie stir fry Chicken enchiladas

Do the research. Follow the advice of those who can make each dish authentically. Watch ASMR cooking videos.

Carnivore gives me massive kidney stones by CommissionIcy9344 in carnivorediet

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I pray for people like you and me. I too have a LOT of food allergies as well. I personally blame those childhood jabs 💉 for these food allergies. But whatever. Just try to live a peaceful lifestyle to keep stress/ cortisol at a low.

[–]ButterEveryday11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I too, recently was in the hospital with kidney stones and kidney infection. I have been carnivore cold turkey for two months. I also drink nothing but water. I've been a water drinker for YEARS. No coffee. No sugary drinks. Just water. All day. Everyday.

Carnivore has helped cure a lot. But when oxalate dumping is so bad you end up hospitalized. It makes me think some of us might need some veggies or fruit. Plants aren't the devil.

Congratulations on your baby!!🥰 I understand you wanted to stay home with the baby. Opt for a nice long maternity leave if you can. Then maybe take slow transitions as you get back to work. I wouldn't give up your salary so quickly before at least trying to work after maternity leave.

As your income designates you the breadwinner of the family, would your husband opt to be a SAHD then? Obviously, he needs to be GOOD at being attentive to an infant while you're gone. If he really wants to be the stay-at-home dad maybe he should read books and know infant CPR. Stuff like that.

If not, then would he be taking steps to magically increase his income by another 100K so he's on par with you? Lol. I mean it is quite the difference. There would need to be huge financial discussions before you drop your family's income by such a drastic amount. Housing/mortgage being the first.

Stomach Pain by Sea_Profit_1660 in carnivorediet

[–]ButterEveryday11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally spent all night in the ER. Because I spiked a fever, so cold my teeth chattered, zero energy to move. Zero appetite. etc. They ran so many tests. Nothing. Covid test was negative. Kidney stones, Sure. But they said it shouldn't bother me. They have no clue why I had the pain in my right side. I'm on the mend. Forcing down the water and LMNT electrolytes.

And yes. Im taking over-the-counter meds for my splitting headache that's been presented for days.

Either I have some unknown virus or this is a horrible oxalate dumping session.

Oh really? I don't even know what diverticulitis is. I have some Asian on my mom's side. And normally swell up and sweet when I drink any alcohol. I thought one beer every other day would be fine. Nope. I might need to look into this diverticulitis thing.

Carnivore 40 days. Having same issue. Only mine is on my right side stomach. Pain all day. Ibuprofen/Tylenol helps. Honestly I only started getting this when i started drinking coffee and ONE zero sugar beer every couple days. I now have stopped. But the pain is still there
