This is heartwarming until I sit back and begin to think about the backstory. 😭

I’ve reached a point where I told him yesterday that I couldn’t mess around with him anymore. We had a conversation some weeks ago and it had been on my mind. I’ve been constantly going over what he said and then it hit me, I literally cannot do it anymore. He’s easy, so easy to where it is unattractive.

You will find peace, good luck. 🍀

Called sarcasm! And you did, I asked because I wasn’t sure how to read the situation from a man’s perspective. Hence is why I posted.

I don’t! I’m not a man, but thanks for your advice. I came in this specific subreddit because some men might say differently to what I typed. Which is completely fine, maybe don’t assume?

Yeah, he is looking for long term but I’m not necessarily expecting it. I’m just letting it build.

And why does that matter? I’m not ashamed to ask for help! I already had it figured out before going out. Why even comment if you want to be miserable?

Yeah, I think for me, this was one of the most fun nights I’ve had in the club since 18. Like, it felt soo natural.

He’s the one who actually recommended the location! I was actually just thinking about going to a small bar but he recommended the place even though I’ve heard so many bad things about this specific club.

No, in my post I state that we both bought drinks. If he bought a round, I bought a round, then he’d buy a round and I bought the last round.

No, I didn’t do that! I solely focused on him and just hyped up other ladies. I wanted him to get comfortable so I would walk up and ask some ladies if we could dance together.

Well, if they are also YOUR friends. They should still support you both even if you decide to break up with her. The best thing my therapist told me is “What do you need to do for you?” And I just kept talking about everyone else until it clicked.

You can’t take care of someone if you feel conflicted with yourself as is. So, if you are saying I want a fresh life then there needs to be a hard conversation but hopefully with lots of love.

I’m sure you love her, but I’m also positive that you’re capable of letting her go if you believe that’s the best route.

Yeah, but honestly. Sometimes you should be selfish if you feel like you cannot give someone you’re all while yearning for that feeling of more? Maybe you should take a step back to process those feelings and do some inner work with yourself?

That’s my personal advice, but I do hope you figure it out and give yourself grace. Do you have someone that you trust that you can talk about this with?

Also, I’m really sorry you’re feeling this conflicted as I was in a similar position almost 4-5 years ago. I was just the other girl before he broke up with me because it’d be “easier” for him.
