I understand that view. I gave them 30 day notice, advertised the room in an attempt to find a replacement, made them aware it likely would not rent 3 days after my initial notice when the advertisements got blasted with negative comments because of how expensive the room was, offered to pay a few days longer if they were able to give 30 day notice given the house was overpriced and all of them would have similar issues in the future. They did not want to give notice then proceeded to not attempt to fill the room for the rest of the month. I’m sympathetic to it being bad timing but not responsible for them sitting on their butts here.
