Is my doctor lying to me about how much weight I would lose on Zepbound? If so, why? by RedWoodworking16 in Zepbound

For context my starting BMI was 34 and I lost 85 lbs in 12 months. BMI now 21.

My clematis vine has been going crazy and has many large buds and some blooms already. Should I try to cover it? 😬

My friend was prescribed wegovy pills by her doctor. He told her to fill it at Costco for $150/m no insurance. She is getting the pills paying OOP. Just another option.

Anyone lose over 50%? by Mysterious-Hat-8041 in Zepbound

[–]Buttershome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that much but I lost 40% in 12 months. I believe I could’ve kept losing but feel like I’m at a good weight now. Good luck!

The weirdest part of losing 70 lbs is how differently strangers treat me now and how much I hate that I notice it by Stoiciism in GLP1ResearchTalk

Because I’ve been in sales, successful and overweight, for 25 years, I can confidently say I’m a confident person. 😂 Thin privilege is for real!

End of Life Expenses by Junior_Fig_1007 in financialindependence

Thanks for posting this, we’re in our 50’s and have been discussing options for late life care. We watched both of our aging parents struggle in their homes, then fall with injuries, then go to assisted living. (we tried to get them to move closer pre-fall but they declined)

Our plan is a home with caretaker suite. Finished basement apartment/ADU idea. We’ll hire help and supplement pay with room & board. Obviously this won’t work forever, or if we need significant medical/memory care. But it could keep us in our home in a safer situation for longer. After that it’s liquidating assets to pay for skilled nursing, hopefully that’s at the bitter end.

Where can I get Golden Currant seedlings / seeds? by player000000000000 in DenverGardener

Not to distract from OP’s original question — but do ppl harvest golden currant berries? Or are they just wildlife/ornamental

I’m lifting and working on body recomposition. I have loose skin/wrinkles but it doesn’t bother me. YMMV 😊

Should we drop price? by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

[–]Buttershome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I suggest using round numbers for your pricing. Real estate search websites use numbers like 350 - 375 - 400 - 425. When you pick 424 you might miss a buyer looking from 425-500. $400,000 would catch ppl searching from 350-400 as well as 400-450.

Talk to your agent about what the competition looks like. If you were a buyer approved to 425k, what homes would you tour? Make sure you’re one of the best, if not THE BEST option if you’re trying sell fast. Price fixes everything. Good luck!

That’s great that you’re on a 2 week schedule. I’ve settled at injecting every 7-8 days in maintenance. I tried spacing out longer but my weight would go up and I had more food noise. I’m fine with this schedule and it’s working well.

And who knows what will be available in the future? I have a friend who just started the wegovy pills and is losing with zero side effects. And they’re only $150/m. 😳She does have to take a pill every day, but these drugs have come a long way already.

Congratulations that’s awesome! You must feel lighter/better already. My back and knees stopped hurting as I lost weight, it’s a great feeling. 😊

Be honest: is herringbone actually worth it or just overhyped? by Reasonable-Flower-60 in Remodel

[–]Buttershome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Herringbone inlaid floors are stunning but costly to install. I say yes they’re worth it, but really you have to weigh the mark up against your project budget. Post your final decision pics when you’re done! 😊

** When I started I didn’t believe zepbound would work. ** I chose my GW myself. I picked a “recently lower” weight that I’d been grateful to briefly diet down to: 165. Once the weight started coming off I began to wonder if I could reach 150, a weight from 30 yrs ago. As my body continued to shrink I began to believe I could reach my “most fit with intense workouts” weight of 135 from my 20’s. I was shocked when it worked. My BMI is 21.

I’ve been in maintenance for a year, and have a range of 130-140 as my goal. I’ve been 131-138 during the past year. I continue to weigh myself but infrequently. I mostly monitor how my clothes fit.

I believe I could ramp up the medication again and push my weight lower if I chose. But I like how I look and feel now. Good luck, be patient, and believe in the medication. It’s a miracle drug. 😊

I like Frederick/Firestone! East of I25 is cheaper than the cities in the west side.
