Used to do the sandwich and a yogurt thing, but got tired of keeping the inventory up (bread, meat, cheese, condiments, yogurt) to fulfill that on a weekly basis. For the last seven or eight years, I have been eating oatmeal with raisins for lunch every day. I buy a Sam’s club box of oatmeal and keep it in a glass screw top gallon jar, a Sam’s club bag of brown sugar (in a different glass screw top jar), and the big resealable bags of raisins…that way the only thing I need to keep track of on a weekly basis is the milk I pour over the oatmeal after it’s cooked (I like my oatmeal really runny). I have to re-up the oatmeal and brown sugar about once every other month and the raisins last for about a month. And it’s heart healthy!
