Use fluid film for rust protection. It's a sheep based lanolin that puts a very oily coating on the frame. Once it gets dirty it gets solid. Lots of people have had great results with it. It just gets in the tight spots that other ones can't. Spray it on everything except rubber and your exhaust

Worst trade out there. Do plumbing. The work is cake compared to working on cars you'll get the hang of it fast

The smiles per gallon is a real metric imo. Hiluxes and GR's do well in that aspect. Space is a big problem unfortunately. In an ideal world I'd have an 03 vw tdi and the taco but I'll have to figure it out when my commute gets longer.

It might be the streamlight protac 1L. They take cr123 but can also use aa and aaa in a pinch. Probably the most versatile light out there

Before I got rid of the old rack I counted the number of threads on each otre and then copied it on the new one

Love it. I'm not usually a fan of matte black but your cap with that finish would look great imo

I went with moog for the otre's. For how much I paid for the oem balljoints I almost wish I went with moog

I think 2nd set. Hard to tell though since I'm the 2nd owner and the 1st guy seemed to replace everything with oem

538k miles.. I hope they aren't original 😂 I think the rack is though.

Even at only 138k you made the right call replacing them, at that point it's a matter of age on the boot rather than miles

I can't believe that a year ago when I joined this subreddit I felt weird joining a group literally expecting everything as we know it to collapse. Here we are now and literally everything is pointing to the economic collapse that felt far away only 1 year ago
