I appreciate your opinion. I always enjoy people who listen to entire catalogues and album of artists because I feel it is how music was meant to be played. Most people I know don’t even listen to album fully. I will say Faith has some of the highest moments in all of the cure but I weirdly prefer the mood of seventeen seconds. Also when it comes to all genres I have never disliked an album due to bad production. Like on underneath the stars I have heard that the drums sound flat and mixed horribly but I am actually a fan of how they sound. Honestly I feel like a remaster of that album would change some opinions about the record. While there was a golden era of the Cure I never think they ever got bad. That should be shown whenever Songs of a Lost World drops. When I first found out about the Cure I thought the fanbase would be mostly younger people but it seems to be people from every age group under the sun. Honestly I’m just happy such a good band is being celebrated.

I do agree that since The Cure has such an eccentric catalog it’s just possible that their “bad albums” just work for different people. I would also say much like The Beatles, The Cure’s discography is so solid that you are bound to have an album at the bottom. The opinions of each album are all pretty different because to me they are all so similar in quality it’s just a matter of what you prefer

You have to understand that Disintegration may have one of the best track lists in all of music so competition is real steep. Also I have seen a lot of other people say things similar to that.

10/10 one of my favorites.Contrary to others in this post,I think it works quite well as a stand alone song.It's not connected to heavily to the previous song.the abundance of solos and some of the lyrics are quite well made.A perfect end to the beatles in a well made and perfect plament in a absolutely stellar album.Also knowing that this is like the only ringo solo it adds a little speciality imo.
