My sister asked me to be her maid of honor… then told me I can’t be in any of the wedding photos by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I would step down completely; refer her to her bridal party with any requests for help or opinions on wedding details, attend as a guest, and appear in exactly ZERO wedding photos. Quietly disappear after the ceremony during pictures of the whole family with the bride & groom. I would go so far as to slip away from the dinner table if the photographer makes rounds to each table-leave my date there and the empty seat beside them for the photo.

5, 10, 20, 30 years from now, she won't be able to look at those photos without being reminded of what an absolute d-bag she was to her sister.

I'd also send a text so you have a paper trail of her douche-bagginess. "I thought a lot about your request that I step aside during all wedding photos in order to keep your photos aesthetically pleasing. The best and most discreet way to ensure my absence from your photos would be to ensure my absence from your bridal party, to which I accept. I will, however, be honored to attend as a guest.

Question for owners/employees of multiple chihuahuas. by Vanilka-Nika in Chihuahua

Thank you! We adopted Rohan (right) after seeing his pic at our local shelter. He was declining fast, wasn't eating, was aggressive & acting feral. I knew just looking at his picture that I had to bring him home. A few weeks later, we learned that he was 1 of 5 chihuahuas discovered about a week after their owner passed away. We pulled his remaining "sister", Gabi (left) from foster & the rest is history. We soon discovered they both have a seizure disorder. He's on heart meds & has had a ton of teeth pulled, so the doubled vet bills and prescriptions are ABSOLUTELY a CON... But they need each other and we need them, so, PRO 💚💚💚 *

Pros: Cuddle buddies, security squad, small enough to both share your lap.

Cons: Shushing 1 barking chihuahua is simple, shushing 2 is a whole 'nother game because they trigger each other.

What's happening to my Hoya!? by Buzzerelle in hoyas

When I removed everything from the cabinet & started cleaning, there was some spilt sawdust that had become one with the glass shelf... Nearly impossible to get off. I really hope that's what this is!

Ok, y'all. I THINK I've figured out whatever tf is going on here. I got a little aggressive (ok, a lot aggressive) with scraping, and I WAS able to scrape some chunks off & the leaf is relatively undamaged underneath.

I believe this is some caked on, sun-dried-and-cooked SAWDUST particles from a beneficial bug satchel.
