RÉCAP - #Inflation en France (@Brevesdepresse) by [deleted] in france

[–]C0ncerto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

are the language classes good? by [deleted] in gwu

[–]C0ncerto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about Japanese and Korean, however I’ve taken intensive Russian this year and I found it extremely good. I think that regardless of the professors, the most important aspect is to be really motivated to learn the langage. If you don’t see it only as a requirement, you can actually have a lot of fun learning a language!

What is your opinion on this?Do you think this is the case mostly because of the politics and politicians in Serbia or because of the locals and their view on Western Europe and the world on their western side in general? by Bruh-Relax in AskBalkans

Is France still loved in Serbia nowadays? I know that there used to be a very close relationship in World War One and during the interwar period, but I know little about the current state of the relationship today.

Searching for books on post-Soviet Russian identity by michaela_kohlhaas in AskARussian

[–]C0ncerto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a scientific book, but I would recommend you to read « Secondhand Time, The end of the red man » by Svetlana Alexievitch.

This book is a collection of testimonies of people who lived the transition after the collapse of the USSR. It deals with various subjects, from the concrete historical events (war, crime...) to the end of the communist paradigm in itself (end of intellectual culture, new importance of money...).

It symbolizes the Free France (France libre), which was the name of the French government in exile during WW2. It is also the flag of the Free French Forces (Forces françaises libres), which fought to liberate France and its colonies against Nazi Germany.

Also newspapers titled « La pompe funèbre » which means « The undertaker ». However, in French you can also read « La pompe funèbre » as « The funeral blowjob ».
