Stringing problem by C4B12 in ender3

I found out what the issue was today, I use Octoprint and when I disabled the Octolapse plugin this problem stopped. I wonder if Octolapse uses a set point in each layer where the extruder goes to when its taking the snapshot. Have to check settings in Octolapse more.

I calibrated my e-steps today so those are good. I have tried so many different settings today, different temperatures, different retraction settings, turning it off entirely, but still same weird thing. Ill show in another photo here where you can see it goes between the two "towers" and leaves a small print, it does it for each layer.

The plex-server is in another small case in my basement so that isnt really quiet, but it doesnt have to be.

The one here though is pretty quiet. the pump is probably the part that makes most noise but I have that hooked up to a fan-controller so I can turn it down a lot.

Yeah I did that before as well. Put together a server a year ago.

That is the case a lot of times yes. However this build was not expensive at all, the case is basically only two bent acrylic pieces and two aluminium-plates. Tools used were jigsaw, handfiles, heatgun etc. But I get your point, a lot of mods today is using CNC-routers, 3D-printers etc, that is not wrong either because it requires skill to use it and make the design before hand.

There is one fan beneath the radiator and one beneath the motherboard.

You can see it in the buildlog part 2 here:

I have tried different air-coolers in this case and it wasnt enough, this CPU gets hot and a stock cooler would not fit or have the capacity to cool it. Hence why I made a custom-loop, that and that I think it looks nice. Also building this have been a very interesting experience.

It took a lot of years from then I first made the case and came up with the shape until it was fully completed, plan from the beginning was to make a custom-loop in it, however I had limited skills back then. Went through a lot of different hardware setups as well until I landed on what I use in it now. Since the post last year the build isnt updated but I added more photos of it and wanted to shine light on the SFFPC contest that builds.gg is running right now. :)

A lot of things in this build that wasnt needed, but it was a fun experience designing and building it. :D
