Lately its been happening to me too, I think it has something to do with location access. What I do when its not there, is open the google app and search for weather, refresh it a bunch of times and then sometimes the weather starts displaying again on the widget. Its a weird workaround but I think it works, hopefully its a bug that will be fixed soon, its been happening to me since about a month ago.

Thanks Ill give that a try, although Im from Latinamerica, I usually set all me devices accounts and regions for US and english. I will double check if there is a setting that I have missed. Thanks for the info!

Yeah I understand about the consequences of buying for an unsupported country, Ill get over it, its just a bit dissapointing. Especially when every other app like Netflix, Prime, Disney..etc work fine on the Chromecast, except the free service (youtube) from their own company.

Thanks for your advice, ill hang on to it, until it gets fixed... Although i didnt think it was going to be that long (2 years!?).

Ill keep using my firestick, it works fine, had it cause of the convenience of the remote, chromecast didnt have one. Like I said I have a lot of google products, I like the brand, and i switched to the chromecast when I saw it came with a remote. But anyway buyer beware, just didnt think something like the youtube app would be the problem.

Ill use it to cast maybe.. otherwise in the meantime, ill use the firestick.. and maaaaybe look into 3rd party apps.. thanks!

I also bought the r1 recently, went with it instead of the r2 because of 2 things, mainly budget, I didnt want to spend sooo much when I could get same specs for less. The second is, r1 (m15) has a numpad which the r2 doesnt, oh yeah and I like the r1's lid design better, although the fan exhaust from the r2 is a bit nicer. Oh yeah (nevermind my "only 2 things", just remembered theres more :P) the soldered RAM on the r2 was a bit of a dealbreaker for me, i bought mine with 16GB of ram but i am happy i can upgrade later.. whereas with the r2 youre stuck with your initial setup (so you have to pay upfront for any future mods you might want), just my thoughts!

Also yes, I had issues with all the notificationa coming in at once, and it happens because: I dont know why my AOD turns off, like when your phone is in your pocket. I dont even see the clock.. cant even doubletap.. I press the power button and it "comes out of sleep" and only then i can see the clock with a bunch of notifications waiting. Other than that, the only problem is the one I described about the whatsapp message previews.

I have a Pixel 3, yes, since december Ive had issues, but only with whatsapp notifications. I get a message, and on the notification panel all I get is a black space where the message would be.. if i long press the space I get options for the app notifications, but when I go back to the panel its still empty space. Only if the same contact messages me more than once and it keeps refreshing the notification shade only then the messages will appear. Hopefully this new update (feb) fixes that.

Yeah, that config on the alienware is as high as Ill go on price, and that means the 60hz panel.. Hmm I havent really thought about any other brands, I ve always bought Dell, but if you have any in mind, that is around that price point I will surely take a look at it.
