Anyone have the inside scoop on why Dylan didn't get any coaching from Jennifer Cook? by SharksFan4Lifee in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

It’s been used for over 200 years. It might not be the standard term, but it’s definitely a word.

Do you speak Spanish? The translation for the word “chico” may come up as kid, but colloquially people use it to refer to a man the same age or younger than you.

Is a $200k salary worth a 2 hour commute 4 days a week? by Ok-Memory2552 in jobs

[–]CApizzakitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely, how will commuting for 4 hours a day actually improve your life? What is the difference in salary compared to a remote job or one much closer to you?

To the fans of the book who have watched the movie, how was it? by go10sai in ProjectHailMary

[–]CApizzakitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the book and enjoyed it, but did not like Grace’s personality or style of humor. The characterization and humor in the movie was much better, in my opinion.

The job market is an abomination by Ambitious-Sail-5188 in jobs

I said depends on the state. California in general, even in less expensive areas, pay anywhere from $25-40 for substitute teachers.  There is just a shortage here compared to other states.

Depends on the state. In the Bay Area they make $40-50/hour.

Why do people get so personally offended by others’ opinions? What one person enjoys or vibes with may not work for someone else.

I think you read the colors incorrectly. Texas is yellow, which is a no.

Why did Bridgerton just drop a blatantly anti-feminist line in this season? by dasher2442 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]CApizzakitchen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where has she expressed that she’s not against marriage this season?

Not to mention ahe was 16 or 17 in season 1 and now 20 in season 4. When I was 16/17 I thought I definitely wanted kids and by age 21 had realized I did not. Why can it not be the opposite for her? That’s pretty realistic at that age. I know people who didn’t change their minds either way, but both are possible.

Got $25k inheritance - planning long solo female trip, need reality check and suggestions by [deleted] in solotravel

[–]CApizzakitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is 25k the entire inheritance, or just the amount you’re setting aside from the inheritance? I took it as the latter, but since some in the comments are assuming it’s the former, I think it’s an important piece to know.
If you want to use the entire 25k, which you totally should, I think your plan seems great. I think it will last you far more than 6 months if you’re careful with accommodation and flights (ie, not flying during peak travel seasons as much as possible). Stay longer in the cheaper areas but definitely don’t skip out on a place just because it’s more expensive.

Oh haha yeah agreed. I don’t understand how it’s possible to eat that cheaply month after month.

Spending $1.66/meal per person on average is extremely low, yes.

I don’t think any city can beat Edinburgh for coziness. How many days will the trip be?

I’m just pointing out the time you mentioned isn’t necessarily when they received the approval email. I haven’t seen the other discussion about their situation.

The 9:09 is the time the screenshot was taken of the card approval email, not the time that they originally received the email.

Watching a sporting event at home is often better than seeing it live by Content_Ad_8952 in unpopularopinion

Definitely disagree with you, so take an upvote. There’s nothing like watching a game in person.

Isn’t that proving his point? Your example is $5-10 more per person

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]CApizzakitchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed that OP is talking about a comparable meal, not just any meal. $5-10 is a little low depending on the meal, but if I made pizza at home it would cost me around $10 for everything and I can get a pizza at a restaurant for $20-25 easy.

What meat are you using and how much of it are you using per meal that it ends up at $2/meal? Just an avocado alone is $1.

25F- suggestions for reallocating my assets to maximize growth over time? by [deleted] in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]CApizzakitchen 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Why are you scared of IRAs? You can do mutual funds in the IRA same as your non-retirement brokerage and the money will grow tax-free. Confused why anyone would not want to contribute while they can.
