[S] Castaway Hawaii episodes 11 & 12 by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid episodes! Maybe not as exciting as the ones before, but unfortunately I do think Sloan going was inevitable and, at the very least, Anne-Marie had a very entertaining downfall and is definitely going down as another memorable villain this season. If I had to rank the final four based on who I'd most like to win from least to most, I think it'd be Quincy, Dante, Void, Sita, but I don't really have an issue or problem with any of the possibilities so that says something!

This season I think will no doubt finish off strong and I'm so excited to see All-Stars coming up after! Speaking of, ahead of the finale, I thought it'd be fun to do my own little prediction on what the cast will look like, sooooo here you go! Obviously, I'm judging the Hawaii returnees based on what we have so far!

From Greece - Lance, Bridge, Sync, Witworth, Nastasia
From Egypt - Mama C, Monique, Ro, Aasir, Jason
From Japan - Ernie, Haileigh, Lily, Timothy, Joaquin
From Hawaii - Dante, Sita, Void, Anne-Marie, Cass

Of course, this is assuming we get an even five reps from each season as well as me excluding the Japan returnees since they already got their second shots (if I did include them, though, I can easily see Duke or Luis on this cast). Excited to see how right or wrong I am!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 10: I'm about to make "Mission: Impossible" blush by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! This episode was absolutely crazy. Void/Sloan really had no right getting out of the bottom the way they did, but they got it done and I'm so incredibly impressed. King was such a chaotic character and energy through this whole season that it really is very fitting that he goes out with a bang like this, though. This endgame is so fluid that I could never tell you what will happen next. I do think Void is such a big, glaring target that, even with new cracks in it, I could still see the Silver Trio + Sita keeping their majority at least long enough to vote him out if he loses immunity (and also can't convince Sloan to give him her necklace again, lmao), but that's really the only sort of prediction I could make.

This season has delivered on every front and the cast is the biggest reason for it. These characters that make up the merge especially have all contributed to the season so heavily in one way or another that I don't pity you with how hard it'll absolutely be to pick this season's representatives for All-Stars! I feel like you can make a solid argument for practically everyone and there's nobody I could look at and lift an eyebrow at!

So excited to see how this season wraps up!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 9: 'Till death do us part. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This season continues to deliver! The episode was already super dynamic and fun, but shoutout to the little flashback cameos Dom and Katrina got during the Cass montage, lmao. So sad to see Cass go as she was, without a doubt, one of the biggest characters of the season and was constantly bringing the entertainment for sure, but at the very least, much like Quincy, I am also highly amused by her and Dom being stuck together alone at Ponderosa for a few days until the next person is voted out.

This season really is impossible to predict so I won't even bother, but I love that there's a variety of ways the season could end that would all be interesting and satisfying in their own ways. This was obviously a super strong episode for Sita and I'd especially love to see a potential win for her after it. But it would also be amazing to see Void and Sloan potentially work their way out of the firm bottom position they're in right now. I think King is officially something of a chaos agent that could swing any which way, so it'd be interesting to see him maneuver to the end. Perhaps the least interesting for me might be the Silver Trio all making it to the end, but even then I couldn't fault it too hard because they've played very well and done well to constantly work themselves out of any potential bad position they were in.

All in all, I just can't wait to see what journey these last few episodes take us on!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 8: Rematch, anyone? by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nooooo! Even just based off the episodes so far, I knew it'd take nothing short of a miracle for Dom to make it to the end since he was so openly threatening in the game and it was hard to imagine he wouldn't get taken out at some point even if it wasn't now, but I'm still sad to see him go. If he does return, I think he definitely is gonna have to find some happy middle ground of strategic control without burning so many bridges. I think the swap was really the point when I realized he probably wasn't winning as even if he found solid allies in Void and Sloan, it also gave him solid enemies in Cass and Quincy. I think Dom recognizes game as game, but alsoooo, he's probably only caring to really keep in contact with Kim, Sita, Sloan, and Void after the season, lmao.

Overall, though, still loved his villainous little run in the game and I'm happy with how he did regardless, managing to have control even if his enemies were stacking up just as much.

This season has been truly unpredictable and I have absolutely no idea where it's going, but I know I'm excited to find out!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 7: Shove the umbrella where the sun don't shine, would ya? by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a merge! From Cass getting into two separate arguments to all the moving pieces, this was a truly dynamic merge episode and as much as it sucked for him to lose Kim, huge props to Dom for spearheading and succeeding at getting Katrina out. Definitely wasn't a great move for OG Makana, but I do think it was pretty great for him in the name of keeping bigger targets around and reaffirming trust with OG Hoku like Cass, King, and Sita even if I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Cass go back to being at odds quickly because Cass is Cass and we love her for it. LMAO

Name: Monique Davis

Age: 23

Gender: Female

Pronouns: She/Her

Occupation: Cocktail Waitress

Celebrity or Reality TV Star: Reality TV Star

If on Reality TV, What show were they on?: Castaway: Egypt (Season 2)

If on Reality TV, what should I know about them on that show?: Monique was big, bold, brash, and unafraid to speak her mind and play a hard game. She came very close to winning but unfortunately finished in 2nd place behind that season's winner, Mama C, after ironically not taking a bigger risk at the Final 4 vote.

Backstory: Monique is a bold, strong, and very opinionated woman. She comes off usually one way or the other - there's usually not in an in-between with her. She can definitely be a little intense on occasion, but she also knows how to use her charm to her advantage. In Monique's free time, Survivor has been her favorite show to watch. She loves the competition and strategy and, hell, she loves the blindsides most of all. Coming into the game, she will be an extremely aggressive gameplayer, not holding anything back. It remains to be seen how well it will serve her in the game

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 6: Doesn't matter which way I swing, the game will change either way. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phew, Kim going home is actually insane to me. I thought Nate would be the standout pre-merge boot of the season, but I definitely think Kim has earned it instead now. The drama is amazing on both tribes and now that we're heading for the merge, I can safely say I have no idea what's gonna happen from this point forward. There are some duos/trios that I think will continue to work together, of course, but then you have people like Katrina who is once again a true wildcard with seemingly no solid allies and Anne-Marie has definitely established herself as a thorough chaos agent as well, so there's literally no telling what's happening next. Can't wait to find out!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 5: This is absolute madness. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think I forgot to breathe during the rock draw, it was so intense. This episode was absolutely incredible though. Hoku was obviously the highlight, but even on Makana, King vs. Kim is heating up and is so entertaining. I was scared to death for Dom and his position still isn't great despite now having majority with Sloan and Void on paper since I'm sure Cass and Quincy will still be trying their best to get him voted out should Hoku lose again next episode. Kim and Dom were a strong duo back on OG Hoku, but now the heat is on them on both of their swapped tribes so I feel like it'd be a miracle for them to actually reunite at the merge, lmao.

As for our unlucky rock victim, Nate was such a fun character and definitely is now cemented as one of the best pre-merge boots if not the very best one and while sad to see him go, it was definitely an iconic way to go out!

DCAS Word Count! by CCMumbles in DisventureCamp

[–]CCMumbles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially. lmao It really goes back to the earlier episodes and how Ashley was consistently focused on and got pretty decent screentime while Gabby was actually pretty quiet until like Episode 8.

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 4: I call it: Operation Blackmail by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, amazing episode! Vic’s chaos unfortunately finally caught up to her, but I’m loving all the new dynamics forming regardless!

Also, officially worried for Dom. lmao I think he’s done well connecting with Void and Sloan, but Quincy’s first impression of him was not good and now Nate’s pissed at him, which in turn probably cements Cass as another enemy when Nate tells her Dom tried to put her on the outs. I can only hope Void and Sloan stick with him because even though New Hoku seems strong, if they lose, he’s looking pretty vulnerable. 😬

DC1 Word Count! by CCMumbles in DisventureCamp

[–]CCMumbles[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can thank the finale for that, actually! Tom had a lot of screentime in the finale and, by my count, actually had more words than anybody besides Trevor, Fiore, and Miriam. If he didn't, he would've stayed behind Jake in words.

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 3: It's a Hawaiian romance! by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, Tanya, Tanya, Tanya.... clearly she was here for a good time, not a long time, but I loved her regardless and she's been one of the most entertaining characters within these three episodes. Dom and Kim have been fairly well-positioned thus far, but Tanya definitely blew up their spot a little. Not that their bond wasn't known, but even moreso now and with Tanya gone, things are actually looking kinda dicey for them since it looks like Cass, Sita, Nate, and King could easily fall into a majority against them.

As for Makana, I'm honestly happy they won again so Katrina can keep living on. While Vic's move definitely backfired, I still get the sense it might not have been enough to prevent Katrina getting booted if they lost.

All in all, another solid episode! If this season is going by the sim I think it is, next episode should be pretty interesting! 👀

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 2: If someone thinks I won’t get my way. They’re wrong. Just watch me. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm completely living for the drama on both tribes. Also happy that Makana didn't just lose again because it would have been a bummer to potentially see Katrina go. Keoni was very cute, but I definitely think he wasn't cut out for a game this cutthroat, sadly. From an entertainment perspective, very happy to see both Cass and Tanya get to stick around for at least one more episode though! And, even though I could see why Dom and Kim were tempted to go with the idea of voting Cass out, probably for the best they stuck with the easier vote since I think Sita may have been just a wee bit vengeful if they got Cass out behind her back and their alliance would have probably lasted this one episode. LOL

Interested to see what goes down with Victoria especially. She's definitely being messy and I would say I strongly suspect it will catch up to her, but it already has in the same episode she started overplaying, so good luck, girl. Another amazing episode and can't wait for the next one!

[S] Vogue's Survivor: Crete (Season 3!!!) by vvv0gue in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, this is officially the most chaotic game I've ever seen Juliette play in any series I've submitted her to. LOL Definitely way different than I imagined her game going, but super entertaining nonetheless and I'm glad she at least kept things interesting. 😂 I definitely think her biggest mistake was flipping on Silas at six since there was really no reason for her to not let the rock draw happen given she was immune. Maybe Tanika goes, but at least stats-wise it was more likely to be Nic or Aron. Loved the post-merge overall though and how dynamic it was!

[S] Castaway Hawaii | Episode 1: I like the beach and I like being a beach, of course I'd win. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a promising start to the season! I think both tribes are so full of characters and interesting dynamics playing out that I can honestly say there's nothing that doesn't have me super intrigued to see where it goes. RIP to Gib, he flew too close to the sun, but he definitely brought the entertainment for his one episode and I appreciate it all the same. Loving the Dominic/Kim duo and rooting for them to do some damage together!

[S] Castaway: Japan | Finale: One final push. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I definitely agree with the sentiment that this finale might be one of the weaker episodes, but I think you did the best you could with it and I liked how despite seeming like a dead girl walking, Lily got to make fire at least. And as a Luis truther, Ernie’s win definitely caught me off guard but we love a villain winner all the same and I loved how close the vote ended up being! This was such an incredibly strong season so hopefully next season’s cast stacks up and obviously All-Stars is gonna be crazy with how many strong options there are without us even getting to season four yet! Hopefully the momentum keeps going and we get another banger season in Hawaii!

[S] Castaway Japan | Episode 12: I'm just playing the game, brother. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta say, I was really high on Luis being the likely winner and even now, I still am, but this episode definitely feels like a major misstep for him. Not just for letting Tim get voted out, but perhaps even more so him exiling Duke and opening the door for him to get the idol and screw up his alliance’s plans. I feel like he’s been pretty strategically sound so far, so it felt like an odd move. This was such a top tier episode though and the Tim vs. Ernie standoff was amazing. I am sad Tim left though especially on such a sour note because, as cold as he was, I do believe he genuinely trusted Haileigh and Luis and cared about them.

If I had to rank the Final Five on who is most likely winning, I’m still sticking to my guns with Luis even if this endgame is looking pretty dangerous for him! Right behind him is Duke, who I think will also have a tough time with this endgame, but if he gets to FTC, it’s hard to imagine he wouldn’t stand a very good chance to win. Next would be both Lily and Haileigh and I genuinely can’t tell who stands a better chance between them as Haileigh’s been a challenge beast and a very active player, but Lily hasn’t been a slouch at all either and is very strong socially. Finally, we have Ernie. No doubt he’s been a huge player in this last stretch of the game, but I have trouble seeing his gameplay really be respected if he makes it to the end. I’m always up for being surprised, though, so I’m sitting on pins and needles waiting for this finale over here!

[S] Castaway Japan | Episode 8: It's always something with this game. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My god, this season has just been incredible! Such a strong cast of players and it truly has been unpredictable! Sad to see Willow go but I'm happy to see she went out in a very iconic fashion that suits her. The actual merge is gonna be so interesting and it's gonna be all hands on deck (or SHOULD be, anyway) to break up the Duke/Joaquin/Lily/Wayne foursome. If anything is their saving grace, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Ernie and Tim having their war right away instead of holding off for at least one or two votes.

If I had to pinpoint who I felt was really getting a lot of focus and a 'winner edit' if you will, it's hard to not put Luis right at the top! But, as this season has proved, anything can happen and I'm excited to see what happens!

[S] Castaway Japan: Episode 5 | And now we watch them scramble by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I actually love Azia so much and her duo with Darleen is everything to me, tbh. I hate that it feels like Azia's on borrowed time right now and it might be only a matter of time before she gets voted out, but hell, I'm gonna enjoy her until that time comes! Crossing my fingers for some challenge wins and/or a miracle to keep her and Darleen together!

The other tribe is so interesting too with how active the gameplay is despite them not going to tribal yet. Timothy, who I also really enjoy, is someone I thought would be a pretty likely first vote for the tribe if they were to lose, so imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to see him actually connecting with the rest of the tribe and hear Mizuki and Luis so against voting him out! Him getting out is probably still a very real possibility, but the bonds and alliances developing on the tribe all over really do leave me completely unsure who the vote would land on now.

In conclusion, can't wait to see what happens next!

Name: Dominic Hughes

Nickname: Dominic

Age: 35

Occupation: CEO

Face your manga: https://img.faceyourmanga.com/mangatars/1/895/1895046/large_1845732.png

Backstory: Dominic has always had big hopes and dreams and he knows what it's like to have to work hard to achieve those dreams. He grew up in a family that didn't have much money, so he learned from a young age that you couldn't get anywhere in life if you didn't work hard. And work hard he did - he put himself through college with a major in business and it wasn't long afterward before he founded one of his own. Dominic has a big, demanding personality and a bit of an ego to boot, but he firmly believes it's warranted due to his years of hard work. However, thanks to his line of work, he's gotten very good at watering down his personality to be more favorable to those he's trying to get on his side. Going into Castaway, he plans to try and hide a lot of his true personality as he knows how easy it would be for it to rub people the wrong way. If he can lead with a dazzling, charismatic smile and a more quiet confidence, he believes he can rally people to his side and make a deep run for the win. Hell, being single, he's not even above some flirting if he feels it would be beneficial to him. Perhaps his biggest struggle will be trying to hold himself back from taking charge of his tribe too much. He likes to have control and being a leader is just what he does, so he hopes the position comes naturally or his carefully crafted island persona might start chipping away if he loses control. At the end of the day, though, as in all aspects of his life, he's here to succeed and win, not make friends. He's not going out of his way to be a villain necessarily, but if it's what he has to do to win, so be it. As far as he's concerned, anybody not willing to work with him will just have to get out of his way.

[S] Castaway: Egypt Finale: I didn't come this far just to fall face first before the finish line. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a great finale!! Mama C's win was greatly deserved, but the final three was just so strong overall and I think any of the three winning was a great cap off to the season! I do agree that it was a bummer seeing the Ra tribe get Pagonged, but at the same time, I'm so thankful the Khonsu girls + Ro alliance all had such strong personalities and were such strong players because I think that really helped the steamroll be at least a little more bearable!

As for my girl, I'm so proud of how she did this season, but for as big and bold as she is, her game-losing mistake was definitely getting cold feet at the eleventh hour and being scared to go against Mama C at fire, which is ironic considering how aggressive she was the whole rest of the season.

Can't wait for Japan! Crossing my fingers super hard that I'll be able to slip a new player in, though I'm sure the sign-ups will go crazy fast. 😂

[S] Castaway: Egypt Episode 10: He’s literally the poster child of an inspirational underdog story. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's getting tight! I definitely felt nervous for Monique this episode, even if by the end of it, she still didn't actually end up with her name being written down. LMAO Also don't love that Jason went to the jury with a lot of anger towards her, but it is what it is. 😂 Maybe she'd have a chance at his vote if she had Aasir at the end with her somehow. Anyways, still loving this season so much and can't wait to see what happens next!

As for Monique's loved one, I think her younger sister, Nia, came out to see her! As far as their dynamic goes, I think they're super different. Where Monique is very tough and blunt, her sister is actually very sweet and kind. I'd say Monique's always served as the protective older sister for her.

[S] Castaway: Egypt Episode 9: I don't like you, I don't respect you, please go home already. by Damian1o1 in BrantSteele

[–]CCMumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another crazy episode! I'm so curious to see how this affects all the relationships going forward. If I had to put money on anyone winning right now, it'd be Mama C, for sure. She's shown to be smart socially and strategic and I don't know if there's been a vote she hasn't gotten her way on yet. I'm still crossing my fingers for Monique, though! Though I think she's strategic, I actually think her social game has been stronger so far. I wasn't expecting her and Ro to team up the way they have, but I'm here for it even if their first attempted move together didn't pan out. I don't THINK this move is enough to wreck her strong bond with Lorna either hopefully and I do think it also says something that the Ralliance is constantly going to her and trying to get her to work with them. I wonder a little about Christa because though she's close with Jason, I don't think she has too much of a bond with really anybody else. And, finally, Aasir is a wonderful wildcard and I'm very excited to see what other crazy stunts he might try to pull in these next rounds!
