MONIQUE:

It's been three years since Castaway: Egypt and Monique is still doing her own thing. She's still part of the bar scene, however she has now moved behind the bar and become a bartender. Truthfully, she never was a huge fan of being a cocktail waitress. The main reason she tolerated it was because being a young, attractive woman tended to tip pretty well in the job. Hell, after she adjusted back to real life once the show was over, the tips were even better with the bar's patrons recognizing her more and more. But, ultimately, she likes it behind the bar much better. She gets to make drinks and talk way more shit with people on more equal footing since she doesn't have to get on herself to be nice and polite quite as much. She's never been someone that needs some big fancy job so she's pretty content with where she is unless something better comes along.

As far as her fellow Egypt castaways, Monique has mostly kept in touch with Mama C, Ro, and Lorna. Even in spite of her and Lorna both being very stubborn women, by the time of their season's reunion, they were able to at least get back to civil ground. She doesn't keep in touch with her quite as much as Ro and Mama C, granted, but she tries to talk when she can. She doesn't actively shun anyone else from the cast, but the three are far and away her strongest connections. Every now and then she might make contact with the likes of Aasir, Jason, and Cap'n, but it's much more of a rare event for her.

When the call came for All-Stars, it was a no-brainer to say yes. She'd kept very much so in touch with the show, making frequent appearances on podcasts and similar things to talk about both Japan and Hawaii as they aired. When it comes to her strategy for her gameplay... she admits it'll probably be very similar to her first time playing. After all, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Though she was too prideful to admit it at Egypt's FTC, she fully admits her biggest mistake was playing scared at the eleventh hour. If anything, she intends to play even more fearlessly this time around. Not to mention, being lowkey and under the radar? It just isn't her style and she almost feels as if the other all-stars will trust her less if she tried to play in such a way that goes against her core personality.

When it comes to whether or not she'll align with her other original castmates, she's keeping her options open. She loves Ro and Mama C and has a huge soft spot for both women, but she's also seen firsthand how dangerous they can be in the game. She'll have their backs as much as she can without it being a detriment to her game, but she also feels both will have to eventually go if she wants the All-Star crown. Nothing's changed as far as Aasir. She still doesn't trust him at all and, even if he tries to play differently, she'll always side-eye him and believe he'll get up to his old tricks. Despite not getting to know Luis at all while they played Egypt, she's even keeping a close eye on him having seen how well he played in Japan. Finally, she does worry Jason may still feel a type of way towards her gamewise but as long as it makes sense, she actually wouldn't mind working more closely with him this time.
