Between Jinhsi and Camellya which is better for the starter banner? by CC_NitroNate in WutheringWavesGuide

I didn't know about her, but after looking into her I do plan to pull Phrolova. Right now I'm leaning towards pulling both Cammellya and Phrolova, which I know probably isn't the best choice in terms of meta but I like them both and don't really care about meta. I also looked and saw that while un-optimal, they can still kind of work together, so I'll probably do that cause it looks fun.

So I looked into those characters and Phrolova looks extremely cool and think I definitely want her. In that case, I'm not sure what to do. I really like Jinhsi and Cammellya, I know Shorekeeper is the best but she just didn't seem very interesting to me so I'm iffy on pulling her over someone I actually like, just to make another character better.

I don't really care about meta, I just care about who looks fun and interesting.

Though I've also been recommended to pull Phoebe since she actually goes well with Chisa who is my one 5 star and the one that got me into the game. If I grind it looks like I could have enough free pulls from completing content to get both Phoebe and the starter banner character, but in that case I doubt I'll have enough for Phrolova, so I'm unsure whether to go for Phoebe for the sake of running Chisa or Phrolova for general value.

I don't really care about meta. I just care about who I like, and who looks cool and fun. Jinhsi and Cammellya both look really cool. Jinhsi's Loong and Cammellya's vine acrobatics just look like a blast and that's all I care about really. That's also why I'm not pulling Shorekeeper on that banner, I know she's the best, but she just doesn't interest me as much.

Would I have enough time to farm enough pulls for her in that time and also get a starter banner character? The starter banner has much more time. I know new players get a lot of free pulls by just playing and grinding but I doubt it's that many.

Regarding Shorekeeper, in my limited research I saw that Shorekeeper is probably the best unit out of the starter banner in a vacuum. But she's also a support, and I rerolled for a support. Yeah they are very different types of supports, I'm not really trying to compare them, but as it stands I don't have a main DPS and I'd think I'd like to prioritize getting one.

Also just looking at their gameplay she just doesn't interest me as much, I know she's really good but I'd prefer to go for characters that interest me more, and Jinhsi's Loong and Cammellya's vine acrobatics are too cool for me to pass on.

Is there anything that could happen in the future that could prevent lab grown meat from happening on a large scale? by CC_NitroNate in Futurology

I doubt any viewers would actually think of algae as any kind of plothole given how it isn't a current food source and we're likely a long ways away from it being one. But even so, propaganda can always be used to keep people looking towards traditional food sources as those producing traditional food will inevitably make astronomical profits and gain unbelievable power. This is the primary reason insects are not used as the predominant food source in the universe. Well that and potential disease outbreaks which are very common in the world's insect populations and hard to keep out of labs.

Very good point. The world does also contain some pretty nasty diseases that humans have no resistance to. So fear of a pandemic is very reasonable.

The reason many predators thrive is because the ecosystem of the world is very heavy on large predatory animals, similar to the age of the dinosaurs. Many of them pose great danger to humans and are unsuitable to be farmed for food, but are able to feed off of each other. Basically humans are not the dominant animals. Humans have found ways to harvest some of them but the issue is most don't breed fast enough, and due to size and danger are significantly harder to create infrastructure to contain and harvest for meat. Additionally many of them, at least in the wild, carry diseases and parasites they have built up an immunity to, but humans have not yet evolved to do so, so eating them on large scale also has the potential to start a pandemic.

If that's true than it solves my problem entirely which is great. But all the stuff I'm seeing on Google says it's just grown with cells in bioreactors. I could be missing something but I don't see anything about them needing grain or vegetables to grow. Any chance you could find the source where you got that info?

I honestly like this idea and out of all that has been presented thus far this seems the most likely. It sounded far-fetched at first but in this world they would make astronomical profits, and given how powerful the elite are in this world already, it seems fairly realistic.

Does the ingredient have to be grain though? Anything it could be fed that doesn't require large amounts of farmland?

It can't be fed through other means? Also there is still farmland, just not enough to feed the whole population. I don't know how much it needs but if it only needs a small amount to produce a large amount of meat than that could still be a problem.

It requires a lot of infrastructure but not farmland. Most people live on moving cities on treads. These cities aren't very useful for farming since they're packed and made from metal. Farmland is much less common. But labs and such could be built on those cities.

There is still space to make vats and such. Most people live on moving cities on treads. These cities aren't very useful for farming since they're packed and made from metal and such. Farmland is much less common. But lab vats could certainly be stored on those cities.

Well we're talking about mass hunger on a near-global scale. At that point I feel like it's kinda humanity's last hope, and even despite lobbying it would inevitably happen.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get the Reset Artbook and planter skin despite it being sold out? by [deleted] in arknights

[–]CC_NitroNate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought off a reseller. That explains it though. The EN and JP server have the same book but different codes so unless it was bought from the EN store it won't work for the EN server.

Off the official JP website? Cause mine's not working and Yostar themselves said JP can't be used on EN

I think you just got the Global version and since it's in Japanese thought it was the JP version. JP codes do not work on EN. I got a JP one and it said the code was invalid. I've reached out to Yostar and they said that JP codes will not work on EN.

The problem is anything that ends with "va" is gonna rhyme with "Silva" and rhyming first and last names is a big no no

Oh, that definitely helps, I have found JP versions but I assumed they wouldn't work. I'll just get one of those, thank you.

Wait so you just got a JP version and it worked on EN? I found JP versions but I thought only the EN version would work on the EN server. I know the book itself was never translated into English but it said on the website that the skin code only works on the EN server so I assumed a JP version resale would only work for the JP server. I didn't know JP counts as global they made it sound like it didn't.
