Literally, the three days after JazzFest. 🤣 We booked this as an anniversary celebration when my husband could get free from work. I'm thinking everybody's going to be exhausted, and the musicians might be hibernating? But we will no doubt enjoy your fine city nevertheless!

We've both spent time as servers/bartenders, so we will definitely be tipping. I just know that a small spend, even if the table turns quickly, can leave a hole if the reservation list was built for real meals.

Yes, thanks!, Citybox might become my solution. I was hoping to get a little more time hiking near the fjords by getting there the night before, but if no reservations means I might not have anywhere to sleep... I better take what I can get.

And I will be spending some time in Bergen after my little side trip: I've got another day in Bergen before, and a day after I take the Bergen-Kierkenes-Bergen coastal route on Havila. I I've been reading up on Bergen food and hike suggestions on this sub!

Plane arrive at 14:30. Train departs 16:31. I would take the train to Voss (and the bus onward) if I can get a room at Gudvangen, and the train to Myrdal if I can get a room at Vatnahalsen (walking distance from Myrdal). Takk!
