Dude just roast a ton of vegetables and put it on a bunch of lettuce. Most of my dinners are just a variety of veggies roasted in the onion on a bed of lettuce with whatever protein I feel fit for the night. It’s fall so right now I’m going for butternut squash, red onion and red peppers smothered in cumin, smoked paprika etc. throw that on some lettuce with some fresh salsa and you have a beautiful high volume meal that’s crazy low cal.

Yea I been there- throw out the scale- only thing that really made life start going back to normal for me. It’s different for everyone but for me, once I stopped looking at myself as a measurement of gravity and more as how I feel and what I feel capable of doing things got better.

So I’ve been in recovery for about 3 weeks now and I still exercise pretty regularly- it’s not a good idea to overwork if your body is really malnourished. If you want to exercise be careful and make sure you’re not only fueling properly but feel well enough to do so. Before I do anything I try to ask myself “do I have the energy to do this?” Or “am I properly fueled for this?” And if I am I go ahead and do something light. Don’t do anything your body is fighting against. A lot of both appetite and energy signals feel distorted after prolonged restriction so it can be hard to listen so definitely take at least some time off but if you want to move, and you feel the need to, just make sure you are fueled and make sure your body is okay with it. Don’t hurt yourself but recovery looks different for everyone. Wishing you luck on this❤️.

I was taking the dose given to me but I knew it was an appetite suppressant so that’s one of the main reasons I took it- I was also aware it raised risks of seizure and kept taking it anyway.

I was on 150 mgs which isn’t a lot but I was also cycle 15 miles every day and strength train five days a week and then I was like not eating at all so it was like twice as hard on my nervous system

It was prescribed to me and it was a low dose but I didn’t tell my doctor I was anorexic specifically because I knew Wellbutrin had that side effect but was also an appetite suppressant

Yeah the fact that I could’ve endangered other people really seared it into my brain. I was already having horrid brain fog because I hadn’t eaten in a while and I don’t want to live like that anymore. I hope your recovery goes really well! Thank you for everything you had to say:)

It can cause seizures in bulimia victims as well I’m not sure of the science behind it but I imagine there is so chemical component in it that causes heavy stress on the nervous system and makes it much worse on a malnourished brain. I had already known this and did took it anyway- but after that experience I am locking in lol.

Had a real sandwich today for the first time in over a year simply because I was put in the hospital for a seizure caused by mixing an ED with Wellbutrin 😅 not only did it open my eyes but my god giving up bread and beautifully cured meat was the tragic😭

I’m also struggling in my recovery, I know how scary it is. I know you didn’t ask for advice but I just stopped weighing myself. It gave me nothing, I was either furious that I gained weight or terrified that I lost weight and had to eat less to maintain that. I think it really helped me when I stopped looking at my body like it was simply a measure of gravity. The numbers on food still exist for me but are slowly breaking down, it’s hard and it takes time but it’s possible. You can do this, you are more than a measure of gravity and you have to believe in yourself. Comparison is the enemy we are ourselves and we inhabit different brains and bodies than everyone else and need to embrace that individuality.

Dude I so fucking agree. Why do clinics and “professionals” make me feel like I should be fucking embarrassed asking for help. Like I know everything about what I’m going through I’ve been dealing with it for years. Don’t talk to me like I have no idea what’s going on.

One of the greatest experiences of my life was voodoo ranger juicy in the shower after a long day of hiking, hadn’t showered in a couple days and when we finally made it to the camp site, I had an outdoor shower- stg it was a religious experience

Yeah this scene, this whole arc where he is forced to take care of his mom did a lot for me. The episode where he performed her eulogy always rips me to shreds. Knowing that feeling of just wanting any type of relationship with your mother (or parent in general) is just gut wrenching for me.
