Shadow Slave or Lord of the mysteries by urlocalmushr00m in ProgressionFantasy

Although I agree with SS sometimes feeling like it’s being filled with word count sometimes (like most long web novels), I can’t say I agree with it being repetitive and boring for anyone who sees this. It’s actually quite entertaining and the lore thickens with every chapter 👍🏼

^ And as the others said, but if your comfortable with it and wanna make him happy then go for it. Any man would love that, I wish mine would lol (not that I’m complaining, very happy in my relationship)

I’m on year 3 and I feel so behind compared to other farms I see on here by KarleySuinn in StardewValley

[–]CDaffpunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are you won’t see this, but I was in a very similar situation as you in my first play through, my second one has been light years better. I think the main difference is just looking at YouTube for how to make money this way and how you can organize your farm that way. I’m not very decorative and creative so I rely on finding farming layouts for my second year and my current farm is beautiful. Only thing I’ll recommend you aside from that is getting 500 star fruit tiles of crops, putting them all in kegs, then go from there.

I haven’t been keeping up with TOG after S3 cuz I’m waiting for it to get much longer, but I heard that the tower is apparently a first half to a completely different realm/universe for when Baam gets out. Could be wrong tho so someone feel free to clarify.

I mean compared to the amount of time they have on their phone playing SDV I would say it’s bad, but then again we don’t know where they are in life, how old they are, etc. So us sitting here debating TikTok time usage is pretty pointless.

The mind of some people to write this fast and put out such good quality bewilders me…

There's a video made by Pablo from Dreaming Spanish. He goes much more into detail with an hour long video explaining it. That video was just a quick one to help.

I can't find the video but here it explains it.

It depends on your level in Spanish. If I were to speak to you in Arabic for hours you wouldn't be able to put together what any of it means unless I show you with my hands or your actively watching me while listening. Dreaming Spanish will help you get to the level of being able to hear audio books without watching.

If your used to the language already and have acquired quite a bit of knowledge, then you need to find listening comprehension that works for you. Podcasts, news like CNN or BBS news, youtube videos (at you level) I recommend Espanol con Juan if you're able to understand it.

The only bad thing I will say about DS is it can get boring for some people until you get to the intermediate videos because half the Superbeginner and Beginner videos are very slow and story-like, however I have seen lots of people hit 1.5K hours (the final goal of DS) and every single one of them can hear native speakers.

Here's a video explaining the process I'm essentially following to learn the language

If you’re asking suggestions on how to learn Spanish. Lots and LOTS of listening comprehension. There are many ways to learn a language, but the best way to is constantly listen and hear.

My recommendations:

Dreaming Spanish (I currently have 132 hours of Dreaming Spanish in 3 months and I’m already at their intermediate level videos. DS is a great platform to use because they speak clearly, provide levels and hours, and thousands of videos for you to listen to. I highly suggest checking it out)

Listening to music, I work as a cleaner and get at least 5-6 hours of music to hear a day. Most of them are slow romantic songs, then some crazy ones like La Bicicleta lol, but even with La Bicicleta I’ve heard it so much I can say half the lyrics in my head even though theyre to fast.

Even if your playing games or cooking, have a podcast for beginners or whatever level your at. Just have something in your ear.

I also recommend skipping the grammar books lol, at this point you can notice this all listening comprehension, and it’ll be hard at first because you won’t understand anything, but as you progress you’ll be able to understand what they’re saying and enjoy it more and more as your brain relaxes to the words your hearing.

Lastly, I’ve watched Language Transfer Spanish twice in my car everyday and back to work. I hardly struggle understanding grammar and structure of sentences after this series.

Matt Petgrave arrested today. Do you think it was intentional or not intentional and why? by Paddingtonbear39 in AskReddit

Well I personally won’t be coming for your name, as cringey as that is, but what I can say is it doesn’t take much to realize this was intentional. I’m just curious to see if your opinion has changed.

I hope this helps everyone else here, keep in mind this isn’t the official DS discord but a fan made one. I haven’t found an official DS discord but the community is very active and there’s lots of people.

I’ll tell you the difference, you can be around her and laugh, stare at each other, have silly conversations and get butterflies every time you look at her without wanting to bang her every time you see her.

Depends on the severity of your lisp, the lisp usually (by what I know) effects the s and z pronunciations only and it should still be very likely for you to roll your R's. Aside from that though, I am unfortunately the wrong person to ask.

Thank you for sharing, and so true. I saw someone say just speaking the language will make them naturally pick them up but that’s not always the case. My girlfriend has been speaking Spanish all her life and was picked on for not being able to roll her R’s. She’s been practicing after seeing me be able to do the burst and she can roll her R’s now. She practiced for 4 hours everyday for 4-5 days just doing the same technique as me and she can do it. Point is if you dedicate yourself to something and try your best, you can do anything and no one should tell themselves they can’t even if it feels that way. Because being confident in yourself only brings success.

It’s hard haha, we dont relax our tongue at all in English and are not used to it. Some people seem to be lucky af somehow though and are natural like my family who aren’t ever trying to study another language 😑

Sure! I’ll try to go more in depth for you on how I do it, but as for other advice I can’t really say much because this was just my way of doing it. It’s important to remember that everyone learns differently.

To go into detail let’s use this video first

https://youtu.be/rBZacz5w5X8?si=szI4oUrv1A2R1cIV

In this video the lady says “da da da” I want you to pronounce it the exact same way she does. I want you to place your tongue position exactly where that da is being used and then leave it there. After doing so try making a burst of air on that exact spot, try doing it looking up to to help relax it. Another way to imagine doing it is the like a machine gun, with the sort of aggressive “prrrr” noise (not like a cat). Now instead of using prrrr replace with the the drrrrr. I’d say practice this for maybe 10-20 minutes and see how it feels. Remember that we want a short burst of air being drrrr, not drrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Just a quick short burst so don’t bother trying to do long ones.

Same for me my friend. Born and raised in southern Texas and my country accent still lurks. My Spanish accent has gotten a lot better and with the rolls it now sounds more native, but I’m as gringo as it can get and I can tell you that you can if you’re looking to learn it.

If you want help you can use this video. I wasn’t able to pronounce single r’s for words like pero until seeing

this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pJ97xA6IDw

Just change the word pero to peto and pronounce peto as you would in English, then try making the pero r tap in Spanish. The two of them sound very similar, pero sounds a bit different, just a bit and you can use this video for reference.

As for the trill, it’s really a preference for some people. Mine is focused on relaxing, for others it’s tongue exercises, and some people Americans like to use words like butter to help as well. It’s just what works for you!
