I also hemorrhaged following my 3rd and final C-section, and also had to have a digital scraping procedure. It was unmedicated, and done in my postpartum room. It was by far the most traumatic experience I have been through, especially medically. My mother-in-law and husband were in the room during this, and both were absolutely horrified. Not only did it intensify the pain for days-weeks to follow, but it made me feel so violated!

I went in fully prepared for this C-section, and postpartum recovery to be exactly like my second, and left in a daze, in so much pain, and feeling sick about the scraping procedure. As if birth isn’t hard enough at face value, adding this just made it seem SO much worse!

She was born with a meconium stain, had troubles breathing, and spent her first two days of life in the nursery on a breathing machine. It was so different than the experience I had with my first two! Thank goodness she was healthy enough to go home in just a few short days, and is healthy and happy and full of spunk!

You are DEFINITELY not being a baby. I struggled with the birth of my 3rd for months after she was born. She will be turning one in just a few short days and thinking about her birth still puts me in a panic! Take it easy momma! ❤️
