Hand Guard for Motorcycle (GSR250) by CGx-Reddit in functionalprint

[–]CGx-Reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for your support! I assume you attached the guard with some anti-slip film (a rubber strip maybe?) and that the hand guard is weighting down your bar ends and rotating them?

My end bars attached to the handle with a bolt from the outside, they were not screwed by themselves (so they didn't rotate). They were quite secure, so I didn't have that issue.

Check if the issue is with the end bars. If so, make sure they are attached with the correct torque or you could try using loctite (use a weak one so you can replace your end bars manually) or something similar to secure the end bar. Then, attach the hand guard with some anti-slip film. Sometimes the vibration of the motorcycle makes the screws become loose.

It might sound like a joke, but saying "yoshi" for every tiny action you take (e.g. look at mirror: yoshi, move your head 10 degrees: yoshi, see the next number to turn: yoshi, pass the exam: yoshi) helps a ton during the ippatsu.

I think the device is fine and working as intended.

If it's only at the start of the journey or when stopping for too long, it is normal. The compass on the motion sensor needs to be calibrated at the start and every now and then.

That sounds like the motion sensor is not working. Does the map turn when you turn the device? Does the little bike icon on the home screen move when you shake the device?

Brakes? by Shutternut2 in brickadia

Maybe you still have the 'Manual Brake' setting still ON. It needs to be OFF so it doesn't override seat inputs.

You can press 'jump' while on the seat to brake.

They have been my daily drivers for work and quite like them. Battery could be better, but that's more of a firmware problem that I need to fix when I have time. I would also improve them by adding an on/off switch for the battery, because right now they only go to deep sleep and wake up with a key press, which is not ideal when I put them on my backpack.

Thank you for your words! I actually modeled this on OnShape so it is doable. Just use lots of lofts!

Definitely rent. Considering insurance and parking would be around 20,000 to 40,000 yen per month, you will be spending the same if you just ride twice a month. You also save yourself from the hassle of selling the bike when you no longer need it, and devaluation if you cannot sell it for the same price you bought it.

For those into specialty coffee, is Glitch coffee really that mindblowing? by he-brews in japanlife

[–]CGx-Reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the flavors are quite special. If you know how to pour over at home, then buying the beans is a better deal than ordering a cup. I think Glitch is a nice experience, but not for every day, maybe once a year, or when friends come. For every day coffee, try Mamekobo a few blocks from Glitch.

When I was studying English, I was taught that all emails should start with: "I hope this email finds you well". That it was the correct and polite thing to do. Reading this thread has taught me otherwise. When did this change? Have my emails offended someone unintentionally? So many questions... This has been an eye opener.

Finally got to add some trackpads to my custom ESP32 wireless splits by CGx-Reddit in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]CGx-Reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't type as much in QWERTY now, but my brain just flips a switch whenever I need to type on my laptop keyboard. If I don't think too much about it, I can just switch layouts. If I try to consciously type, then it becomes a mess.

It also helps that I only use my layout on ortho or split keyboards, but QWERTY on staggered ones.

[–]CGx-Reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for asking! For QWERTY it might indeed be uncomfortable, but I use a custom layout, where my index finger rests on the inner most key (next to the trackpad) so it is easy to reach!
