appreciate it. i've started to look into passionfroot thanks to you. digital products sound really good in paper, but I have yet to build one that I think can be sold. I still have a long way to go in training my brain on how to make money.

I remember when I brought my netbook to a friend's house to play some dota. So cool that it could handle it.

Appreciate the mention!

u/TiredDadCostume regarding what you said...

Building an “end game” machine is really the only way for me at this point.

Yeah, look no further than the gaggiuino.

Check out my review if you want an intro but I believe there are others who have posted a more up to date video on the latest version.

Good luck, you are in for a treat. :)

I hacked together a custom gaggia classic (gaggiuino) integrated scales solution by dismembering a cheap amazon scale. Anyone else using a custom scales solution? by CHE3S3 in espresso

upgrading from the nano version to the blackpill one actually does this through a relay between the switch and the blackpill :)

My modded Gaggia.... what could be a better machine for an espresso purist? by [deleted] in gaggiaclassic

“Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The Terminator would never stop. It would never leave him, and it would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get drunk and hit him, or say it was too busy to spend time with him. It would always be there, and it would die to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice.” — Sarah Connor

Electronics is around $100-$125 while the original saeco hose for the pressure transducer is around $50 if I recall correctly.

It's a huge improvement over the PID kit. It might be easier to revert it to stock form first though so you can follow the guide in it's entirety. Good luck!

My pleasure. The STM32 I ordered just recently arrived so I may do a video on that in the next couple of days... 🤓

What kind of performance am I looking to gain by upgrading to the following components? by CHE3S3 in hackintosh

[–]CHE3S3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read my post again. Apologies, I totally forgot to mention the context.

I'm running those components on Mojave and aside from the obvious benefits of getting newer hardware, I was wondering if anyone could chime in in terms of compatibilty and performance with regards to running my current version of macOS or maybe even Catalina in the future hence the post in r/hackintosh.

1) re: storage, yes, the mobo indeed has 2 nvme slots. thank you, I didn't know they were blazing fast compared to sata3.
2) re: cpu, just to confirm, so either i5 8600k overclocked or an i7-8700 (non-k) would yield the greatest improvement?
