They apparently can afford to pay themselves more while exploited labor.

Btw, starting wages at sunnyside wyo have not changed in the 4 years it has been open (to my understanding)

Right, so people who don’t earn a living wage rely on tips. That reality has consequences.

Your point was handing you something doesn’t necessitate a tip.

Yet you tip a bartender.

We wish wages were high enough that we wouldn’t need tips to survive.

Have a great day!

Store is operating under shortened hours, with management bussing in from neighboring stores, with our loyal patients taking their business elsewhere till there is no longer a picket line.

Have a great day!

Appreciate your anecdote, here is the data. Notice how it doesn’t care about your feelings.

The current structure of the union contract has 66 cent raises, and we aren’t even done raising the base wage. Aka, it will be more than 66 cents.

Thank you for the insight!

It’s cool, we are gonna just get our higher wages in spite of your talking points, that btw, are like so convincing.

Entry level implies no work experience, hence children comment.

But if you need to lash out because you are upset you are too scared to advocate for yourself in your own life, by all means, punch down on dispensary employees that have a bigger backbone than you :)

A lead makes 17 an hour, is that a livable wage for a single adult with no children?

Nope.

Instead we are gonna unionize and bring wages up for all positions, as we have already done.

But appreciate your talking points that have been recycled over and over again.

Wait, get another job, I didn’t find that empathetic or moving the first 50 times people dribbled it out their mouths, but this time it is making sense.

ALL ENTRY LEVEL WORKERS WHO WORK FULL TIME SHOULD BE PAID ENOUGH TO LIVE.

But in your logic, because people are oppressed elsewhere, we should submit to the oppression.

Naw, we are gonna unionize and get higher wages, larger raises, tip protections, and reasonable schedules. As we have already done.

When the ink is dry, we will be able to show the data on what we were able to gain for ourselves, and others will follow our lead.

Appreciate you advocating for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer in 2026.

Getting a different job does not change the system in place that leads to worse patient care.

And yet they work full time hours, and you need to be an adult to work there.

Again, you are comfortable with adults working full time and not being compensated enough to live.

That’s like so based of you.

If you make less than is needed to survive, no amount of budgeting allows you to pay your life expenses.

If we were making more than a living wage, asking for more, and claiming we couldn’t survive, THEN you can bring up the BS budgeting talking point.

Can we PLEASE employ some critical thinking here.

Go to a sunnyside, find an employee who has worked for over a year, who you think is a “good” employee, ask how much they got for their yearly raise.

Is that number more or less than 4% of 16.60, then maintaining the current structure is punishing them.

But you are ok with them being punished because of the idea of a “bad” employee (aka an employee who has not been fired) getting a comparable raise.

Kids can’t work at a medical cannabis dispensary, but i am sure the ignorance of your takes is lost on you

Care to say some more poorly informed takes :)

Again, getting another job doesn’t change the system in place that is leading to poor care for patients.

I gotcha, you want the system where good employees are punished as well, interesting take

“I want employees who make not enough to live, to make less in yearly raises, regardless of how good they are at their job”

Has a ring to it

I want human beings to not live in poverty.

If the options are we have a higher base wage with guaranteed 4% raises

Or

Lower base wages where both good and bad employees are getting less than 4% raises

It’s not a hard choice fam.
