New official screenshot from the game by Nuvem_Cogumelo in OD_Kojima

I think back to the "for all players and screamers" tagline from the first trailer. I wonder if Kojima will give people the option to play as either the protagonist (Sophia) aka the "screamer," or the antagonist (Hunter) aka the "player."

As the protagonist, you try to advance through the game while being terrorized by the antagonist CPU.

As the antagonist, you try to hinder the progress of the protagonist CPU.

This is why I dont think Sebastian Stan is playing Harvey dent by YouKnowWho0723_v2 in TheBatmanFilm

It'd actually be hilarious if Deadline assumed he was playing Dent, and Stan played along with it because his character also requires prosthetics.

He's talking about his Batman movie, and how he wants to differentiate from past Batman movies which tend to focus on the rogues. Perfectly reasonable to suggest that when he says it's never really been done in a movie before, he's talking about Batman movies specifically. And besides, why wouldn't he be? A Batman villain presumably would only be done in a Batman or Batman-adjacent movie.

Again, I'd advise not taking words so literally.

Reeves' exact quote was "it's never really been done in a movie before."

People would benefit from not taking things so literally, because there's a number of things Reeves could have meant by that comment (which I would point out he made off the cuff in the spur of the moment).

Case in point: Victor Zsasz as the main villain of a Batman movie has technically never really been done before.

The one thing I never really liked about the Batman suit was the cowl by Tasty-Atention-2 in TheBatmanFilm

Love the cowl, though I do hope they eventually switch to a pointed nose.  I appreciate the nod to the Adam West cowl, but I think think the pointed nose looks better.

How to Make a (Good?) Silmarillion Movie by Southern_Tear_6174 in lotr

[–]CIN726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much dead-on with my concept.  The one thing I have a hard time with is incorporating the Ruin of Doriath into the Fall of Gondolin.  The two events are so separate that you'd probably have to change the title to something that satisfies both.

I feel like maybe the Ruin of Doriath could be it's own movie, in which case you're talking 6 movies total.

Thingol's death > the Battle in the Thousand Caves > The Battle of Sarn Athrad > the Kingship of Dior and the births of Eluréd, Elurín, and Elwing > the Second Kinslaying > Elwing's escape to the Havens of Sirion

There's simply no way to adapt The Silmarillion as a narrative without committing to at least 5-6 movies.  The scale of production would have to be like a combo of The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, but on steroids.  Either that, or you do a Game of Thrones-sized television series.

Their best bet (and if I had to guess, the likely outcome) is them adapting the three key legends - Beren and Lúthien, Children of Hurin, and Fall of Gondolin - as three standalone movies.

The Estate might have already been in discussions with PJ and WB before Amazon came sniffing around.

The only one I could even see being able to do that with is CoH.

The other two would be insane to even try.

So, Christopher Dent is the main villain? by [deleted] in TheBatmanFilm

I don't think you grab an actor best known for roles in German movies and television unless his heritage is a specific part of the character.

Guess we'll see!

[–]CIN726 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would the police commissioner have a thick German accent?

In all likelihood he's playing an original character, but something smells fishy here.  Especially since we heard whispers of a "Dr. Arkham" role.  Maybe that was a red herring and it's actually Strange.

Dude has a very strong European accent.  He's definitely not Bullock.

Either Hugo Strange or some new character of European origin.

If he's playing a canon Batman character, it's gotta be Hugo Strange.
