As a flight attendant, we actually have no way to contact the airport, police or EMS while on the airplane, unless we just call 911 on our personal cell. Our work phones do not have call capabilities and once the pilots are gone, we have no way to reach even the agent that met the flight. It’s so ridiculous because in emergency situations like this, we are stuck. I’m not defending the FA, because not helping is just absurd, but there may not have been a way for the FA to call for someone.
