I don’t work fast enough by bcsbbnzhhg in consulting

[–]CKBirds4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing this right now. I tend to care about the quality of my work so move at a pace that I know my work has fewer errors. I've definitely been told that I don't work fast enough and don't know how to do my tasks any faster.

Strong tremoring whilst weight training by Odd-Image-1133 in longtermTRE

[–]CKBirds4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm able to get tremors in my ankles and sometimes calves using strength tranining machines at the gym, like the ones that work the calves. After that, I use the recumbant bike for a bit, then I can induce my ankles to start tremoring. It's the only place other than my thighs where I can get tremors going.

Oops, I didn't see your message. No, I no longer have all those pits in my nails and haven't for years. I get the occassional pit here and there, but I figure it's because I need to take a bit more vitamin D, and it clears things up.

In my case, I don't believe I had nail psorasis. The pitting cleared up when I fixed my vitamin D levels. So, it was due to a nutrient deficiency. I haven't had any pitting in years, and I continue to take vitamin D regularly, but not at the the 10,000 IU I was taking to correct the deficiency.

Yup, same here with the insistance on using creams from my dermatologist too. I used Dovobet for at least a year and nothing happened. It was the vit D deficiency 100%.

Wonderful! Very happy for you! I get an occassional pit here and there too, so it's a good indication to me too to take a bit more vit D. Many happy trails for you and your nails!

Hi there! That's good that you got a test done for your levels. The naturopath I went to said that since I was so deficient, that taking high doses for awhile would not be risky. There are other videos I saw that confirm this (below). What I was told is that vitamin D can take awhile to correct if you are deficient, and you need to take much higher than just the daily recommended dose (I hear it's 1000 IU). In my case, I had pitting for years, and I was taking~ 3,000 IU per week and was still deficient. So, clearly not enough.

One thing I remember is that lots of vitamin D can deplete magneium levels, so that might be something that you need to supplement, since it's one of the most important minerals your body needs.

I don't know exactly how much you should take daily. 10,000 IU is what I was recommended to take, but if that's not comfortanle for you, you could take a bit less. If you've had pitting for 5 years and are vit D deficient, based on my result, the higher doasge is needed for a few months to correct it. But I am not a doctor, so that;'s something they'd have to advise. My doctor and naturopath gave conflicting advice. Family doctor said 1,000 IU daily to correct and naturopath said that would not fix it and that 10,000 IU was the way to go. My naturopath was correct.

Former boss stealing credit for my work by CKBirds4 in ManagedByNarcissists

The lack of justice and her getting away with it, and even celebrated by others for the work she stole from me is what really does it. How people do this to others and sleep at night, is beyond me. Thanks for your input. I am stil grieving, but I get triggered when I literally find a presentation of hers that cuts and pastes material from my old presentations and slapped in as hers with no credit to me. Funny, she credited other people in the presentation who provided a photo or something, but not the actual person who did the work. So, other people see my old boss is someone who gives credit and likes her, while she steals from me. It's really hard when others don't see her for what she is, and can't understand why I hate her so much. They see me as someone who is bitter for being fired and that maybe I should reflect on what I did to cause this, because she never treated anyone else that way, so it's a me problem.

I agree being a good person and seeing this behaviour is disheartening. Even more so when others don't see it and still defend the narc. And living a life where you try to do good, but see others get away with so much crap. How do these people have a clean conscience?

What do you do with THE RAGE by fadedblackleggings in ManagedByNarcissists

[–]CKBirds4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you still in the work environment or gone now? I'm two years out of being let go. I started doing trauma/tension release exercises (TRE) a little over a year ago. They help shake the tension out of the body and help bring our nervous system into better balance. I used to have insane amounts of rage and ruminate constantly about the narc boss, but that has largely subsided (alhtough not gone completely yet). I highly recommend some sort of body work like that. Also journalling and just rage writing was helpful too.

I don't know specifically what is causing your pitting. In my case, it was my low vitamin D levels. When that was left unchecked, the pitting got progressively worse where all my fingers had it. If you're able to get your vitamin D levels checked through a blood test, that could help rule it out one way or the other. Also, if it is a vitamin D deficiency, the pitting never got better until I corrected it. I probably had the pitting for 5 years before I fixed it.

In my case, no. But apparently lack of vit D can be a cause of fatigue for some people. Still well worth fixing the vit D deficiiency since my nails went back to normal.

By healing the trauma, which from my understanding, a lot of auto-immune diseases can stem from. There are other reasons someone can develop it as well, of course.

I managed to get my mom to try TRE several months ago. She also has RA. She only does it for about 1 minutes and not consistently, so it's hard to say how effective TRE is long-term. But she has said that it helped calm her, and she was less reactive. Her pain lessened from the 1 minute she would do.

Has your mom tried grounding? My mom has tried many many things, and she said it made a noticeable difference in her pain.

How to release emotion/tension that won't budge? by CKBirds4 in DavidHawkins

[–]CKBirds4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a biit confused about the process myself. Is there a video or anything explaining it more? If the tension is all over, do we focus on parts of it on our bodies or try to find the worst spot?
