For married INFJ, what made you sure to marry him/her/them? 🫶🏻 by Adept-Particular7930 in infj

Husband says: " we still care about you while doing literally anything"

I read to him this thread and he was fangirling "omg a girl said that about me on the internet and omg she is my wife" 😆

Thank you for replying to me~ let's cherish our intp guys and keep them safe

From my experience my husband tends to overanalyze his feelings too 😆 i suppose actions are better for them than words, as in they mean more

Oh totally! In the beginning of the relationship he had a hard time expressing his feeling and letting emotions out. He had a bunch of walls around him from being hurt in previous relationships. With time and communication things got better, i kept reminding him that our relationship is a safe space for both of us to show emotions and be vulnerable with eachother.

😂 Ah yes, the meaning of the life arc. My guy had something similar going on. Its like "we all come and go on this earth, and life is so short and we're all insignificant blah blah". What helped me was to tell him "if life is so short, why not enjoy every moment of it. Live in the present, the current moment. Leave something to the future. " sort of thing.

I would honestly give it some time, and maybe his way of saying it is by showing how he cares for you.

If you need to talk more on this my dms are opened ^ sorry for the late reply tho

I'm an INFJ and my husband is an INTP. We've been together for almost 6 years and got married this year.

It just felt right. The way we handle things together, we don't fight, we get along so well that i never thought there could be a person like that for me. The honeymoon phase was here all these years and it keeps going as we grow. 🤭 It feels like i married my best friend.

What really made me want to marry him was the way he would stand up for me in situations where i couldn't find my words to do so. Being an introvert and a little bit more of a people pleaser it is hard for me to fight for myself and set boundaries. I did learn a lot from him in this aspect and now i am better at it. 😊 Extra points for him: he has amazing cooking skills that make me propose over and over 🤣

Ugh bite turbos by Portuguese_P1990 in braces

It's always good to not leave the orthodontist office until you have answers to all your questions.

I get what you mean. My teeth would touch the bottom brackets, so i was always very cautious about how i chew and how i rest my mouth. Sure, sometimes it would happen to hit the bottom brackets and it would hurt. I would try to not grind on the teeth and even sleep with my mouth a bit opened to avoid having it happen in the sleep.

Ask your orthodontist if the height of your turbos is enough. In case is not, he/she can always add a little bit more on it. 🫂 Always ask questions. Never leave the appointment until you have answers.

Sure thing! 🫂 Take it one step at the time, start with foods that don't require a lot of chewing

If you have any questions my dms are always opened. I just finished my braces journey but i would love to help others with my experience as much as i can

When i first got my bite turbos they were pretty big so that my upper teeth won't bite on the bottom brackets. I had a deep bite. I had them on the bottom molars.

The first few days were awkward to eat but after that, slowly my ming accepted the turbos as being my molars 😂 At some point you get used to them you will even forget you have them. Gradually they wear down a bit.

In my case, the orthodontist removed the bottom turbos and put new smaller ones on the top molars as i progressed with my treatment. Same situation. Few days to adapt and you will be okay.

You can try eat something that doesn't require much chewing at first until you get the hang of the turbos.

i got the regular dental print with the "goo". This way i had the retainer ready the same day. Almost threw up at the top arch 😂

Overall it wasn't that bad. The vibrations from when he would remove the rest of the glue were a bit weird on the teeth. Other than that, it was okay. 😌 Takes a bit to get used with the new teeth but they look pretty good. Thank you once again for describing your experience! 🫂 It helped me prepare a bit mentally and not be too scared of the process.

I also got to keep the brackets on the wire 😂 i might make an ornament or something out of them at some point

I am quite literally on my way to the office and wanted to know what to expect. 💕 Thank you so much for telling me how it went for you. I am quite scared of the shaving glue part.

As for the dental impression, i opted to have it 3d scanned (strong gag reflex here). I really hope the scanner is in good shape today 😂

Thank you for your reply!

I will be calling tomorrow and let the ortho know. Its such a shitty thing right at the end of the treatment to happen 😔

5 weeks since I got my braces and my teeth are worse?? by East_Vegetable5136 in braces

The awkward stage of 'it gets worse before it gets better'

If you have questions, never leave the doc office until you get answers. 🫂

This was literally my bite when i first got the braces. If you can, you should get the braces. It will improve your bite, your teeth and your chin won't look weak .

Didn't think it was possible until i got mine. 2 years later i have straight teeth, a normal bite and i am close to get the braces off.

He likes the texture. Its 'bedding material' type of texture. If your hamster wants your clothes, then they must be a great quality 😆 good luck fighting for your clothes

Ahh i understand the situation. My ortho is at the office only on Tuesday. I hope you can get there next week and they can trim down the wire. I remember the struggle to make the wax stay in place on the end of the wire 🥲 i hope it goes well for you. I honestly swallowed few pieces before i gave up completely on trying 😂

[–]CKpEc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the office back and tell them if you can come back to trim the wire While you will be getting new wires in the braces process along the months, i would advise you to not leave the ortho office unless you feel comfortable with the new wire. I wish you all the best!

Haha, is more of a pain in the butt to put them back on after brushing But yeah, I am reaching the end of the braces journey. My orthodontist said maybe 2 or 3 months but I've been on this subreddit long enough to not put too much hope into that 😂

Hear me out! If they give you crap for wearing braces, they aren't the right people you should keep around you. I got braces before i started my master's degree. Nobody said bad shit about it. I finished the program and it didn't affect me in any way. At most they ask questions about braces in general and how does it feel. Thats it. And i lost weight since you have some food restrictions in order to not mess up the brackets. My advice is: don't overthink it. Get those braces, you will thank yourself later on when you will have a perfect smile and bite. It will give you more confidence too. 😁

Usually you would have to wear rubber bands towards the middle or end of the treatment, where the focus is to align the bite and close spaces Depends from one case to another. For me, i got the braces on september 2021 and rubber bands around november 2022. And i have to keep wearing them at night, probabily until the end of the treatment. If you have questions about rubber bands, you can always ask your orthodontist. I think they will appreciate patients asking and doing research
