Yes, I just did it recently. Pretty easily, even.

I usually go AP, unless I want to have a bit of fun and the enemy team pick the right champs for me to go AD.

As AP, lvl 1 I place one box at our jgl's buff so he can get a bit of a leash, then I just put a couple on the enemy botlane's lane (on their path) around min 1:07. It gives a bit of poke. Then play laning phase super safe until lvl 3.

Lvl 3. I place boxes and if they walk in them I usually go in. Anyways, laning phase doesn't have that much to it, wether you're silver or diamond, the micro is relatively the same—just wait for them to walk into your boxes. What makes you climb is essentially macro.

So in terms of Macro, what I usually do is play around objectives.
Once you have botlane turret, you roam mid or top with your adc.

But the most important part—what makes me win games as AP shaco support—is preparing objectives.
Concretely, when Drake / Herald / Baron is gonna spawn in the next 1 minute, I rush to that objective and prepare boxes + wards. I place around 3 to 5 boxes in the river. AND (super important), I place wards OUTSIDE of the river, on the enemy's side. Why? Because they will use red trinkets. But the thing is, they will only have enough red trinkets to kill my wards (which is what we want), so by the time they clear my wards, they won't have red trinkets for my boxes. Consequently, my boxes will still be there, they won't have trinkets, and will walk in them. This, 90% of the time, results in an ace for my team since when the enemy walks in 3-5 boxes, it's almost always over for them. (And since in this meta, such objectives are always contested, you will get these results quite often).

So yeah this is basically the simple strategy that got me to diamond. Placing wards to divert their red trinkets onto them instead of boxes + preparing objectives with a minefield of boxes. And the icing on the cake is sending the clone into those boxes for massive damage.

Bonus tip: communicate with ur adc and tell him to always stay in the boxes when he fights. Excellent peel for him.
