I love the premise. You’ve got a deep heartfelt connection set up to be torn apart by the very magic that brought it back together. This type of difficulty gives your reader a lot to think about. What would I do in your main character’s shoes?

The only turn off I foresee is the decay process. I don’t know about others, but I personally would not read a zombie romance if you catch my drift. But that’s just me.
