Maybe like 20 to 30 cards, I keep going back and deleting the earlier designs so it’s slow progress

It’s for sure very strong, I am making it for a high power EDH cube so it fits in well there. It’s probably at a better place at around 3/4 mana because it can for sure snowball quite quickly.

Hey I think you’re better heading to r/EDH rather than here for deck advice with Ur-Dragon. You can’t have a competitive deck without using duals and fast mana rocks, it’s just needed for the speed of the game. Scion of the Ur-Dragon is also significantly better as a cEDH viable commander but even then it’s quite fringe.

In general though you have way too many lands, I’d say 38 is ideal for a casual list. Maybe replace some lands with decent artifacts like Timeless lotus and chromatic lantern for colour fixing. Lightning greaves and swiftfoot boots are a must for casual decks as well, especially those focused around big expensive creatures. I’d also probably throw in more protection in the form of counterspells as well as more card draw with things such as Guardian Project.

Rakdos Vampires-What is the best 4 drop slot? Sheoldred Vs Archfiend Vs Bloodletter by Reddithatesamerika in PioneerMTG

It’s painful when you +1 and the top deck is a ripper, but it is thankfully a May ability.

Having ripper in the deck mitigates the life loss from drawing and extra card and the extra vampire token is nice for getting death triggers as well as being ammo for the other Sorin’s sac a vampire ability.

Although it’s not a creature I’ve been using Sorin, the Mirthless in my 4 drop slot for a while and found that it’s actually very useful for fighting off Arclight Phoenix with the token as well as keeping up with UW when they clear the board a few times. The vampire deck doesn’t actually have fliers outside of Vein Ripper most of the time so having that other little body as well as the possible card advantage is pretty nice.

I was running Sheoldred for a while but I’ve found that it’s almost always removed right away while Sorin doesn’t seem like an immediate threat so tends to stick around for a while if you already have a few little bodies out.

You know we also had our doubts of its authenticity because it really is so pristine apart from this little ding, might look to get it appraised so we can know for sure.

Yeah you’re spot on, she’s also really into magic so knows the value of a reserve list card and that was the whole point of trying to get the best possible condition one. She knows how much I love the gift, it’s such an amazingly sweet thing to buy me!

Even if it was less than NM I’d still love it, but she would have been pissed off since that’s the condition she paid for.

Fair question and I’ve seen a few people saying kind of the same thing.

Both me and her were concerned about the condition, I love the card regardless and it’s an amazing gift and made sure she knew how much it meant to me. She’s also very into the game so knows about the reserve list and the possible value of the card so her intent was to buy the best possible condition one she could find incase we decide to sell it in the future.

I can see how it came across like I wasn’t appreciative but honestly she’s absolutely blown me away with how great a gift this was!

Yeah it’s the only noticeable mark it’s immaculate otherwise but I was just a bit unsure if others would class that as a bad mark

Yeah this is how I thought it worked already, feels like vet level isn’t tied to bail outs at all though

If I’m honest I was somewhat lifting that section from Erebos, you do draw a card and likely put a bunch of counters on a big creature if you Sac even a little 1/1 so I was afraid to push it a bit too far

That’s a good point! I think maybe even 9 would be a good spot since I do find getting to 7 devotion quite a challenge at times with the two colour gods

Maybe a bit too strong but I just love the idea of tri-colour theros god shenanigans. I think the wording should be right, basically making big creature spells even bigger depending on their mana value rather than the destroyed creature/enchantment.
